I don't know much about them, nor do I desire to have one, but I think they're kind of like platonic soulmates. I believe @hollow-boned had one, I'm sure they know plenty and would be happy to answer
there are also aros who like the idea of being in a romantic relationship, but I'm also not one of them so I can't really speak there either. It seems strange to me, but at the same time I kind of understand, but that's unrelated
