also I’m not completely sure if I’ll be able to change the background color after all, every time I try Krita decides it can’t even handle splitting one layer, crashes, and nearly overheats my computer in the process

Y'all, I don't want to be responsible for any of you being scared.
And I'm serious when I say that, as someone with certain beliefs and other factors that make me feel safe researching this, it's dark.
Because a lot of it is real.
Including the two things I'm really going into right now.
If you want a good book with a true crime feel, read Sadie by Courtney Summers. But for the love of God, look into the content warnings.
