I mean, that's true!
But at the same time, how the heck would I pay for it?
and does it cost more than pads?
Because A) I have no job, and I don't think I'll be able to get one anytime soon for multiple reasons, B) I have no money of my own really, C) My parents are tight for money atm.
Well, sometimes insurance will pay for it completely! Our old insurance did! Because it was medicaid lmao. Anyways, my point is, if your insurance is good you can probably get your hands on some sort of birth control like Nexplanon or the Nuvaring. Personally, my hormones were too powerful and when I tried the implant it did jack shit so I'd recommend the Nuvaring, you just slide it into your coochie and leave it there, very few people notice it once it's in correctly.

Well, you'll probably still need pads because you can never stop the period completely, but it makes the cost of pads wayyyy less.
Another alternative to pads that I use currently is the moon cup! Like the Nuvaring, or a tampon, you just put it up in your bits and leave it to collect your period juice. However, you need to put it in correctly or you'll spill over, and I recommend using at least a pantiliner to catch your flow just in case it leaks. You can reuse them! And it's a lot better for the environment than pads, objectively.
Also! DO NOT use the Nuvaring like normal birth control. If you want it as birth control you leave it in for three weeks, take it out for one, leave it in for three weeks etc. but as period stopper, you need to keep it in for the full four weeks before replacing it. I recommend picking one day of the month to put it in and take it out and stick with it, that usually covers you pretty well as the Ring can last up to five weeks if needed.
Interesting…
I'm not so sure about insurance covering it though, and also I live in Canada, so healthcare is different than it is in America.
And yeah, I've been considering using the little rubber cup thingy when I'm older and on my own… but for now, there are too many people in my house to make that kind of change.
Also, my mother and my therapist don't believe that PMS turns you into a puddle of emotions and makes you grumpy and angry and reactive and whatnot. And it ticks me off, because I become an absolute WITCH during that time, and the rest of the time, I have relatively stable emotions. It's like, CAN YOU NOT SEE THE DIFFERENCE?!?!!!
Wait… wut?
Is your therapist a guy? Because I don't understand how you could find 2 women that don't know anything about the horrors of PMS…
Nope. Both girls. Although the therapist is older and my mother literally has like zero hormones, I swear.
Actually nvm… there's something wrong with both of them.
You ever start crying-uncontrollably one day and you get your period the next day and you're just like yissss I knew I wasn't an overemotional turd

Shoutout to the medicine vending machine on my college campus for having the exact pads I use. <3
I got my period the day before taking the Covid vaccine, so I was feeling just bad enough to not want to leave campus to go to the store. Was afraid it was just gonna be shitty panty liners and tampons.

So question. Does anyone else experience really sharp pains during ovulation? Like you're being stabbed in the side?
I don't get those pains anymore, not since I've been on the pill, but they were probably worse than menstrual cramping.
I think I did once… maybe….
idk
But on another note, mine started today, and I fell soooooo icky rn…
LOL mine started yesterday, and I was in such a bad mood and so much pain. It really does suck butt >:(
