(Would you mind being the scout this time? I don't think I'm very good at doing multiple characters yet.)
”An Elf is a mythological being that looks very similar to human except they are taller, fairer, wiser and usually much older than humans and they have pointed ears.” Abby explained, taking a moment to look at her friend. ”They don't really exist though. Just in made-up stories.”
(That's fine! I was kinda hoping for that.)
"Huh!" She said, thinking about it. She felt her ears. "That does sound a bit like us."
(Oh wait!)
Caleb adjusted his mask, as he trudged towards the edge of the forest. Abby had gone missing a day or two ago so he needed to scout now. He just hoped that Abby had to camp out somewhere and wasn't dead.
”Yeah. I'm almost wondering if an advance Scout from your world came here and met a human before.” Abby shrugged. ”I know it's unlikely but… Possible?”
Nyt thought about it. "We only invented space travel a few decafeves ago. So I don't think so." She said. "Do you want to go back inside, it's a little cold in here."
Abby did what she could to hold back a laugh at the funny sounding word. “I’m sorry. A deca-what? Feve? Is that how long it takes for Nyxis to orbit?”
She did shiver a bit at the temperature since she left her coat inside. …And her shoes she realized. “We can, though I thought you were used to the cold.” She ended with a teasing smirk.
(Psst… how far away is Caleb?)
"I never said I was cold and I one of our years were about…umm 2 and a half of your years? A decafeves is about 10 of our years." Nyt thought aloud. She picked up Abby and proceeded to open the door to the shop and start to head in.
Caleb warily approached a house on the outskirts of the woods. He looked at it for a bit before ducking behind a tree when he heard a door open and light spill out. He saw an alien walk out with…Abby?

Once again, Abby didn’t protest about being carried. It was actually kinda nice. She let herself blush softly at the thought.
“Wow. So… would that be about 40 years ago to us? Maths isn’t my best subject.” Her blush darkened at the admission.

Nyt thought about it for a bit. "More like 80 but it's fine. How long ago did the legends of Elfs start?" She asked as she went into her house.
Calebs's first instinct when he saw this was to panic. Abby was in an Alien's arms. What was she going to do to her? Is this why Abby hadn't come back? Why wasn't she trying to getaway? Had the Alien hurt her so that she couldn't? Were they going to kill her? These ideas made him scared. "I have to help Abby!" He thought. But how?
“I’m not sure. Pretty sure the legend of Elves is at least hundreds of years old. Though they really became popular when a trilogy of books came out… I don’t remember what year that was.” Abby smiled. “Hey, thanks again for taking care of me.”
"You're welcome!" She said as she set her down once they were inside. "Speaking of taking care of you, we probably need to change those bandages." She asked.
Caleb snuck towards the house. He was going to see if he could peak in the window to see what the Alien was doing to Abby. If he knew what condition she was in he could get her out of there.
Abby glanced at her leg. “Yeah, probably a good idea. I’ll wait on the couch.” She noticed she didn’t limp as badly as this morning. Abby has seen some scavengers go out for a full day with an injury like hers and come back acting normal. Of course the next day was usually worse for them. Since Nyt had been helping her, maybe hers would actually be better tomorrow. The “couch” was near a window so there would be plenty of light.
Nyt unwrapped the leg. "Well, it's not bleeding so that's good." She said looking at the wound. "Don't touch it." She said before going to get more bandages.
Caleb had now gotten to a window where he could see inside without anyone seeing him. He saw Abby on a couch with a huge cut in her leg, and an Alien just walking away, carrying…something.
Abby nodded. “I won’t.”
The cut was still a bit red but definitely looked better. It was actually a pretty clean cut, most likely made by a sharp piece of metal. Glass cuts were more jagged.
She took her eyes off her leg and just looked around the room, admiring the clean surroundings.
Caleb look to see if the Alien was coming back before lightly tapping on the window to try to get the attention of Abby.
Nyt hummed a tune in her language.
Abby had actually let her guard down enough so she actually jumped when she heard the tapping. Turning towards the window, she was surprised to see a familiar human face.
”Caleb? What are you doing here?” She asked once the window was open.
"That doesn't matter. We need to get you out of here before it comes back!" He whispered. "Come on!" He gestured to crawl out the window.
Nyt started to head back to the living room, her voice getting louder as she got closer.
”What?” Abby blinked a couple times in confusion. ”You mean Nyt? Caleb, I'm fine. Nyt’s been really nice, she even treated my leg.” She tried to explain. ”I know what I'm doing here. If you're scared of her then leave. You can tell people that I'm alive and well but I'm not leaving yet.”
"What the hell do you mean?" He asked. "Did she brainwash you or some sh*t? If an Alien knows about us we are all dead. We need to kill it before it tells anyone else!" He hissed.
Nyt walked back in the room with some bandages. "Hey, Abby! What are y-? Oh!" She said after spotting another human.
Abby rolled her eyes with a slightly exasperated huff. ”No, you dumb**s, she didn't brainwash me. And if you try to hurt her, I’ll fight you. Remember how many times I've won against you in training?” She froze for a moment when she heard Nyt walk into the room. She gave a mischievous smirk at the other human before smiling broadly at both of them. ”Nyt, this is Caleb. Caleb meet Nyt. Caleb’s a bit taller than me, but feel free to hug him all you want.”
Nyt looked down at Caleb. "Hello! Do you want to come inside instead of standing under my window?" She asked.
Caleb's eyes went wide. He started to slowly back away, trying to grab onto Abby to get her.
Abby backed away from Caleb’s reach, shooting him a small glare. ”Caleb, don't be rude. You won't get hurt if you choose to come in. Don't be afraid. Nyt's really nice. I promise.” Her tone had softened towards the end.
”I’m sorry, Nyt. Caleb’s kinda a stubborn scaredy-cat. Remember how I reacted when we first met?”
