I tried to start something like this earlier but it flopped. I had the idea of this world where Aliens had taken over the earth and humans were either killed or forced into the wilderness. But that was hundreds of years ago. Humans don't exist anymore…right?
Sorry for the crappy intro I can go more into detail if you would like.
If you have more info about this it might help a bit
My idea was that the aliens needed a new home because their old one got destroyed so they started to search for a new one. They found earth which was almost like there old home except for the wilderness. They found out that humans weren't being respectful to the planet and decided to get rid of them. Some humans got chases into the wilderness though. The aliens never tried to go after them since they found some of the animals terrifying. They had brought some of their animals with which ended up breeding with ours and caused most animals to become mutant. This happened over many years and humans are now thought to be dead. My idea for a plot is that an alien that lives farther out from civilization finds a human rummaging through there stuff.
Sounds cool! Is there a temp or do you prefer blind?
I prefer blind. Would you like to be the alien or the human? Also a detail I forgot to add if that the energy source that the aliens used changed the molecular strands of air so that humans can not breathe so they wear masks.
Ok. Can I be the human? Since you have a better idea what the alien culture and stuff is going to be like.
Yikes!
That's fine. I have to go to bed so I will post the starter in the morning.
Nyt was cleaning up outside her house as the sun started to go down. She needed to get all her projects away for it was supposed to rain that night. And animals could be out. She shivered at the thought. After the animals had bred with their creature it resulted in hideous beasts. Nyt headed inside and started to make some food for herself. Her black hair swayed as she walked around the kitchen. Her skin was just as black as her hair with purple irises. If humans were still around they probably would have mistaken her for a living shadow. But humans didn't exist anymore so she didn't worry about that.
Abby tucked a strand of shaggy blonde hair out of her bright green eyes and back into her hood, clutching her weapon tightly. She had been doing this for years and she had never been this close to the city. She knew she should leave but a part of her was curious. And the cut in her leg was slowing her down. It wasn’t deep enough to need stitches but enough to be bothersome. She leaned against the staff to take some of the weight off, breathing a little heavily.
It was getting darker, she needed to leave now.
She couldn’t stop the pained gasp as she started walking.
Nyt was almost done with cooking when she remembered that she had left the storage door open. She decided to finish dinner first and then close the shed. She just hoped that an animal wouldn't decide to make it it's home.
Abby’s leg was throbbing with each step now. And it was about to start raining at any minute. Looking for some kind of shelter she froze when she spotted a house… with an open door.
She knew that this wasn’t very smart but the world seemed against her. Between her injury, the weather and the monsters she didn’t really have many options. She mustered up her strength and limped inside, hoping to hide in a back corner or something.
After Nyt had finished her dinner she decided to work on one of her projects in the shed. She loved learning about human culture, even though they were gone, and collected old human artifacts. She grabbed her dinner and headed out to her shop. Once she reached it she flicked on the light and shut the door, not seeing Abby.
Once the lights flicked on, Abby … well honestly she kinda spazzed out. Her body was caught between freezing and snapping into a defensive position with her rough made “spear” held in front of her. However with her leg in the state it was she fell, very loudly, knocking a few things over.
Nyt jumped as she heard a crash. The first thing that came to mind was that an animal and on instinct, she grabbed the first thing that could be used as a weapon, which happened to be a wrench like an item. She didn't get a good look at Abby since she was distracted but she knew it didn't look like any animal she had ever seen. She slowly crept over to her, wrench raised if she would have to attack the thing.
Abby bit back a string of curses as the pain in her leg flared up worse than earlier. She really needed to bandage it soon. Her spear had fallen just out of reach. Looking up at the purple eyed girl, presumably the one who owned the house. This time she did completely freeze. She was probably going to die now. They had nearly wiped out humans from existence, Abby figured the girl was going to end her soon. She just hoped she did it quickly and didn’t remove her mask. The once life-giving oxygen had been changed so with out it … Oxygen deprivation was not how she wanted to die.
Nyt just stared at her for a bit. She had no idea what to do. It was a human. They were supposed to be extinct. Nyt slowly lowered the wrench to her side. She could see she was afraid. I mean who wouldn't be, her race had wiped out theirs. She looked her over now that she had a second to breathe. She saw that she had a big cut in her leg. She argued with her self for a bit on what to do. Should she kill it? No, she didn't have the stomach to do that. Could she try to talk to it? Would they be able to understand each other? Should she help her and wrap her leg? She gripped onto the wrench. She wanted to see what the human would do before she did anything. Would it try to attack her now that she's given it a chance?
As much as Abby valued living, the suspense was torture. Why was she hesitating?
“Aren’t you going to kill me already?” She wasn’t really sure if they even spoke the same language. She did have a small knife in her pocket but it was special to her and reaching for it would be too obvious. Plus using it would require lunging and her leg was in no condition to do anything but hinder her in a fight.
Nyt heard the human said something but couldn't understand it because of the mask. She looked it at her for a bit longer before approaching her and picking her up. Her species were quite a bit bigger than humans so it wasn't too hard to pick her up. She had decided to help her and the first things she needed to do was wrap that leg. She could figure out what to do next.
Abby yelped in surprise as she was picked up like a child.
“Hey! W-what do you think you’re doing? Put me down!” Her face was turning red from embarrassment.
At least there’s no one else here to see this. I’d never live this down.
"Calm down." She said in a deep voice. The last thing she needed was her freaking about. She opened the door to go out of her shop, shutting the light off and closing the door afterward. It was a little hard with someone being in her arms but she managed. She then walked into her house.
