Now it was Nyt's turn to get flustered, her ears flushing grey. "I-I…well…hwaaag!" Nyt sputtered as she hid in Abby's shoulder.

Abby couldn't help but laugh a little at Nyt’s reaction. ”I mean it.” she assured her. ”You’re tall, your hair moves on its own, and I have never seen anyone with eyes like yours.” she smirked a little as she petted Nyt’s ear. ”Not to mention how adorable you are when I do this.”

Nyt mumbled something as she leaned into Abby's hand. "You get just as flustered when I give complements." She brought up as she snuggled into Abby.

Abby nodded. ”Yeah… Mostly because I’m not used to getting compliments like this.” she said. ”From someone who cares so much about me and isn't family.”

Nyt smiled mischievously. "Well then I can help you make up for that." She teased, sticking out her tongue at Abby.

Abby giggled and nuzzled against Nyt, still rubbing her girlfriend's ear. ”I think I could get used to it with you.” she smiled. ”But I’ll need to reciprocate somehow.”

"You wouldn't need to. I'm fine with you just being here with me." Nyt said with a smile.

Abby blushed and leaned up, kissing Nyt’s lips. ”I’m happy being here with you.” she smiled.

Nyt's ears flushed as Abby kissed her. "I-I'm happy to be with you too." She said, her ears twitching a flicking about.

Abby's blush darkened a little and nuzzled against Nyt’s neck. ”You’re so cute when your ears twitch like that.” she smiled.

Nyt shivered a bit. "Why must you bring that up?" She muttered.

Abby chuckled. ”Because it's something I really like about you and I don't see it on anyone else. No human can do that.” she reminded her.

"And no Sylvian blushes like you do. You change colors." Nyt chuckled back. "It is the most adorable thing I've ever seen."

Abby smiled at Nyt and gave her a quick kiss on the cheek. ”It’s a human thing.” she teased. ”But I like that we think the little things that the other doesn't really think about as special are amazing.”

Nyt nodded. "Right as ever." She said with a smile. After a moment of silence between them, Nyt spook up again. "Have you contacted Mark or Caleb recently?' She questioned.

Abby shook her head. ”Not recently.” she admitted. ”Have you heard from Adar lately?” she asked.

"A few days ago. Ava and Zara visited him a few days ago to see some of his collection. Ava wants to try to meld Sylvain technology with human tech. Their going to be at his place for a while. They may stop in sporadically though." Nyt said as her hand pet Abby's head.

Abby smiled at the touch and leaned into her hand. ”That sounds really cool. It'll be nice to see them again.” she chuckled a little. ”We must have been really obvious or really oblivious if they picked up on how we felt before we even realized it.”

"Well, I think I realized it awhile ago but I didn't want to bring it up." Nyt said as she ran her fingers through Abby's hair. "There was a lot going on and I didn't want you to worry about me too."

”Nyt, I've been, at least, a little worried about you ever since Mark and Peter broke in trying to ”save” me.” Abby admitted, her eyes fluttering for a moment at the gesture. ”And when we introduced you to that little group of humans, I was worried. But the worst was when you and Adar came with us to the camp. I kept worrying how I was going to protect you.”

"You going to protect me?" Nyt chuckled. "I was constantly worried about how everyone in the capital was going to you and Caleb. I was so afraid that they were going to take you away or kill you or experiment on you or something worse!"

Abby nodded and laughed lightly. ”Yeah, I was. I was worried that everyone was going to try to kill you as soon as they saw you or at the least run you out of the camp.” she told her honestly. ”When the four of us went to the Capitol, I was a little scared about those things too but… I felt safe around you and… I knew you wouldn't let that happen.”

Nyt smiled at her. "You've always put so must trust in me. Even when we first met. Why?" She asked, a look of wonder on her face.

Abby smiled at her and gently cupped her cheek. ”Because you were so kind of me. You were nothing like I expected you to be so the least I could do was give you a chance.” she answered. ”And I’m glad I did.”
