"Nice!" she said watching the flips. "Impressive" she said once Lyra was done.

(Sorry I was out, pizza came earlier than I thought. Looks like we bother went out to dinner. MAybe make Nykidia a bit older? like..16? Idk.)
Lyra smiled. "Thanks, all in the line of work. So, what gang do you belong to? I've been trying to remember the ones with 2 seconds but I can't find any." That was a bit of a lie. She'd been pouring through The Almanac all break and hadn't found anything.
Fair warning, Avery doesn't "Work" for a gang//
(Part of her character is her being 14 tho because she can't age since Night and her binded)
"Actually there would be 3," she said offhandedly. "We have a brother who is the actual son of the boss. We're just a really good bodyguards and information gathers."
(Maybe in this universe they bonded later? Idk man, sorry. And @"Thou needs to stopeth", that's fine.)
Lyra nodded. "Ohhhhh, that's why I couldn't find you! Which gang though? I've been dying to know." She poured the mocktail and handed it over to Nykidia with a grin. "Drink up."
Avery let out a small "Hmm." As he observed the conversation, he filed away the information for later and sipped his drink.
When Avery made a noise Lyra startled. She'd forgotten the boy was there! "Oh my god, I'm so sorry. What did you want to know!" She realized that she shouldn't be asking so straightforwardly, but she didn't really care. She'd been ignoring him for… 10 minutes? 15 minutes?
"I want to know about the two girls who have been bothering Card Master and Demon's gang." He says, he knew that using their names would probably get him more information.
"Gallo. We run most of the illegal casino's. Run by Marco." she said pulling out a casino chip that was purple and black. "You've ever been to any of them?"
Lyra considered Avery's question a more serious look on her face. "Cardmaster and Demon know our agreement. No specifics if you don't pay up."
She then turned to Nykidia. "Nah. I steer clear of most illegal business. It's never good to get caught while you're working this job." The bar a strict 'no arrests' policy. One little black mark on her record and she was fucked.
"What the hell did Dax do?" He thinks crossly, his eyes flashing a dangerous shade of violet. "What was the damn agreement?" He asks the women.
Lyra's eyes flashed, hidden behind her glasses. He didn't know? "This bar will not give out specifics unless the person asking is willing to give something of equal importance in return. Money can only get you so far." Some people gave up secrets, others magic. Memories, relics, wishes, and powers. A few especially shady individuals had paid in souls. They hadn't been fun to deal with.
"Maybe I could take you there sometime. We only ever get caught if someone ratted us out." she said. "It's okay if gambling not your thing though. I don't gamble either."
"Well then, what does one want for this information?" Avery implored, already regretting his agreement to helping Robin. Well, he did train me for a bit.
"Depends on how much information you want. The more you need the more I give." She smiled cheerily at Avery before giving him the spiel her boss told her to give any askers. "Once you do the exchange, you'll never be the same. Tread carefully. You could lose something you'll never get back again." She shot him a wink and turned to Nykidia.
"Well, if I really won't get caught. I do enjoy a good gamble." She actually adored gambling, but she hadn't been doing it lately. Too invested in her new job.
"Good!" She said smiling. "I can show you around."
Lyra grinned. "That sounds wonderful! Pick me up at 8?" This was going to be so much fun. She was actually really good at gambling, something people always got all pissy about. Not her fault sirens were naturally lucky. And not her fault she braided luck charms into her hair to escape any and all misfortune.
"Cool but to warn you I don't have a car. I can either call the family limo or we can do something else. You might like the second better but it's up to you." She said looking a little ashamed for not having a car.
"I'll take a family car! I've never ridden in a limo before." Riding in a limo sounded fun. And super fancy. She hoped she still had a good formal dress. She hadn't gotten rid of that glittery blue dress, had she?
"Cool. Well I'll leave since you have other customers and I'm distracting you away from your job" she said beaming. "8 you said?" She said getting up to leave
"8," Lyra affirmed, a sharp nod of her head concreting the point. She took another sip of her mocktail. No one ever stayed at the bar for very long but she never really felt lonely. She felt a little lonely now, and Nykidia hadn't left yet. Nykidia was the first person to show genuine, trustworthy interest. "I'll see you tonight."
She smiled. "I'll see you tonight at 8 then. By the way you don't have to dress up if you don't want to," She said as she walked out. Night grew to her full size and curled around Nykidia. "You know this going to be weird because I can't leave." "You will be small and if you embarrassed me I will kill you," she said looking at Night giving her the evil eye.
Lyra laughed at Nykidia and Night's little fight. "I'm going to dress formally. It'll make everything feel so fancy and cool, y'know?" Yep, she definitely saved that dress because just a few days ago she was annoyed about it getting glitter all over her second favorite t-shirt.
"That's Okay, but I'm going to wear the Casino wear because it looks cute and No one will mess you if your with one of the 'employees" She said.
Lyra grinned. "Guess I'll just have to hang around with you, then. How was your mocktail, by the way? I might get to put it on the menu." She really wanted to get a drink on the menu. Every other bartender had a drink on the menu but her, and she wanted to fit in.
