"Awww," Lyra cooed, snatching Nykidia's hand. That was really sweet. "That's really sweet. You know, I haven't actually gambled in years. Just a little too scared, I guess."
"Awww," Lyra cooed, snatching Nykidia's hand. That was really sweet. "That's really sweet. You know, I haven't actually gambled in years. Just a little too scared, I guess."
Nykidia was blushing so hard. "Uuuhhh thanks? I-I mean your welcome." Nykidia stuttered. O my gosh. Why was she so fricken cute?
Lyra laughed. Nykidia was hella cute. Those good luck charms she'd braided into her hair were doing her a world of good. Of course, she didn't know if they'd brought Nykidia in, but it was always good to praise them. You had to feed your charms lots of positive energy or they stopped working. "No problem, dude! This is so much fun."
"Your welcome," Nykidia said trying to compose herself. "Come on Nykidia you've faced worse than this and kept your composer but you lose it over a cute girl. Snap out of it." She thought.
When Nykidia tried to calm herself down, Lyra decided to have a little fun. With a sly smirk, she pressed a kiss onto Nykidia's cheek, keeping her expression as cute as possible. Nykidia was really pretty when she was embarrassed. Sue Lyra for trying to make herself happy. "It's all good. Next time we do something you want."
Nykidia froze. She realized that Lyra was trying to make her embarrassed. She knew this and yet it was still working. She grabbed her hood off her cape and slowly put it up trying to hide her blush. "T-thanks, Lyra. But the stuff I like to do probably wouldn't interest you,"
Lyra cheered mentally when Nykidia began to blush. She stopped Nykidia from pulling up the hood of her cape and plopped a kiss down onto her other cheek. Adorable. 100% a good date. "Well, we won't know until we try. Tell me what you like to do."
"Let's keep that a surprise until next date," Nykidia said with a smirk. "I'll make it fun, promise." And this time she kissed Lyra on the cheek.
Lyra mock pouted, running her fingers over the place where Nykidia had kissed. Even if she was going to pretend to be sad, she couldn't not acknowledge this adorable little kiss. "Awww. Please tell me. Pretty please."
"Sorry. Can't spoil the surprise now can I?" She said, shrugging with the smirk on her face growing.
"Just a hint?" Lyra hugged Nykidia's arm with a pleading look on her face. Mysteries were so tantalizing. If she didn't figure out what it was today, it would occupy her thoughts until she figured it out. Which she wouldn't be able to figure out because she didn't know Nykidia yet.
"Fine. It's at Night. Like the time and not the person" Nykidia said smiling. She knew that it wasn't much of a hint but she wanted Lyra to think about it. "Is next Friday a good time?"
Next Friday, huh? Lyra pulled out her phone and scrolled through her schedule. Friday was… not good. She had a late shift at the bar from 8-12 pm. "Nope. I have a shift at Alina's late that night. How about Saturday?"
Nykidia thought back. Saturday Flyn had to meet with a gang leader and she had to be there. "Sorry, I'm taken for Saturday. Do you have any week days off where you don't have to be at your job early?"
"Uh…" More flicking through her schedule. Lyra had a lot to do this week, but it looked like Tuesday was free. "Tuesday. Does that work for you?"
Nykidia thought back. Tuesday night would be OK. "Sure Tuesday would be fine." Nykidia said. "What time would you be OK with?"
"I don't really care. It's my only free day of the week, so I'll probably just sleep until noon and then get hammered." Lyra shrugged. She'd probably just invite someone fun over, probably Sequoia, and then chill until Nykidia came to pick her up. "Oh, I might have a friend over until you stop by."
"Uuuhh OK then. That's cool." Nykidia said. "I need to try to keep this quiet. If other gangs figure out than there may be some trouble." Nykidia thought. She also thought about telling Lyra this but didn't want to scare her.
"Perfect! It's a date." Since her schedule was still open on her phone, she entered the date into it. It was completely color-coded, the date was in pink. Pink for love. Which was a little silly and a little romantic, but she liked it. "When are you going to pick me up?"
"8 would be good," Nykidia said glaring at Flyn who was giving her looks from across the casino.
"Radical. I'm probably going to be kind of drunk, just FYI. If that's a problem I won't drink." She typed the time into her phone and turned it off, slipping it into her pocket. Nykidia seemed a bit distracted and Lyra had finished up all her gambling. Maybe they could go to someone's house to finish the night. Watch a movie or something.
Nykidia was gesturing at Fyln to stop as Flyn was childishly making a smooch face.
(Should we fast forwards to Tuesday?)
(Sure. Sorry I haven't responded my workload has been killer)
Lyra had decided to dress as sensibly as she knew how on Tuesday considering she had no clue where they were going or what they were doing. She tossed on some bright blue lipstick, her best pair of jean shorts, a hot pink bomber jacket, and an old band t-shirt. Now all that was left to do was wait for Nykidia.
Nykidia threw stuff on her bed wondering what to where. She eyed Flyn standing in the door way. "What?" "Nothing" He said with a grin. "Well if your doing nothing then at least help me pick out something to wear. I want to wear something girly." "But I thought you hated girly clothes." "I do! I just want to impress her." "Don't do something just to impress something." Nykidia thought on it. "Fine. I wear something else. I hope she's not wearing something too nice." She said pulling on some black leggings, a long sleeved deep purple shirt with thumb holes, a fluffy black vest and her black cape.
