Night was taunting Nykidia before they got to the bar the next day. "You know she's a siren." Night said. "She was probably entrancing you, oooooohhhhh" She said waving her fingers around. "I doubt that," Nykidia said shaking her head. "That's what a person entranced by a siren would say," as they walked into the bar.
So, are they all in the bar? Or is everyone just kinda going with that because it's easy.
(also this isn't supposed to come off as salty lol. just wondering)
(Everyone should be coming and going through the bar. Also, it's fine for you to join @Qxeenscryche. I'm volunteering, so I probably won't be on until 9)
Nykidia looked over at the new comer. She turned back and put her hood up. Night shrank down to a tiny figure that sat on Nykidia's shoulder which made her look like the devil on her shoulder and the angel was gone.
Lyra popped out of the back room. She'd caught up on all the latest gossip and, apparently, there were customers today. There was a bright blue towel flung over her shoulder and her sunglasses were pulled down over her eyes. She blushed when she saw Nykidia standing at the counter. Wow. She was actually serious. "Hey, Nykidia. What're you doing here? Also, Hey!" She waved cheerily at the newcomer.
"Hey I came back for your number." she said pulling out a pen, blushing. "How have you been?" she said smiling a warm smile.
Lyra gave her a sharp smirk. "Good. How's yours? Take down Mr. Nitti yet?" She wrote her number on the napkin, 666-0237-558 all laid down in neat cursive. Her handwriting was the only organized thing about her. She handed the napkin up to Nikidia and began making her new mocktail.
"Nah not yet," she said. "Not too big of a threat yet but just enough to keep an eye out for," she said looking at Lyra making a mocktail. "Does that have alcohol in it?"
Hey, guys. So I'm gonna have to drop out due to school (and my lack of inspiration rn). Good luck with this!
Thanks and goodbye. I hope things get better soon.//
"Nah. We're not allowed to drink on the job." She shrugged, shaking the drink with renewed ferocity. "Need any more news or did you just want to hang out?"
Avery took a seat at the bar, setting down his bags on the floor. "Hello."
Lyra turned form Nykidia to the newcomer. "Hello! Welcome to Alina's." She took in the bags and the boys steely eyes. She'd never seen him before, so he might've been new. She still wasn't quite sure about who was coming back from a sketchy trip and who was actually new. He didn't seem to bear any gang markings, but she'd quickly learned that didn't count for much.
"I heard you were a well of information, is that true Lyra?" Avery asked as he inspected the women, she seemed pretty harmless. But, you never know with people.
"Who's to say?" She poured her mocktail int a glass with a sly smirk. This guy wasn't beating around the bush, which she found refreshing. Some people were so fond of having hour long conversations that subtly drifted to the topic of information. "Want a drink?"
"Depends, do you have Contra?" He asked, referring to the popular siren drink. "If you do, sure."
Lyra winked and the realized he couldn't see it behind her glasses. "Totally." She grabbed a bottle from the shelf behind her and poured him a glass. "Want anything else?"
Nykidia looked at the guy. He seemed familiar but she couldn't think from where. Maybe a rival gang? She couldn't tell.
"Do you want anything Nykidia? You're here for fun today, right?" She poured out her mocktail and took a sip. Perfectly mixed. Damn, she was good.
"Sure!" Nykidia said turning back to Lyra. "Can I have one of those?" she asked.
(I just realized the age difference with our characters.)
(Oh shit, yeah.)
"Yep! It's pineapple, mango, and blackberry juice." She mixed them together and shook them furiously, throwing in a couple flips and around the worlds for flair. There was nothing wrong with showing off for someone you wanted to go out with, right?
