Zara blew fire into her hands. She stood on a street corner. It was cold out. She needed money but she couldn't get a job. Except for a soldier and there is no way she was doing that.

Luke turned towards her, looking like a deer caught in the headlights. “Don’t know what you’re talking about, Miss.” He offered her a cheesy grin, attaching the pouch to a loop in his belt. “I’m just an honest worker.”

@Bandito

Shace tried to loom over him menacingly but only succeeded in looking like she was about to throw up. "Honest enough to pay me for not turning you in?"

“Don’t tell me you’re going to beg for money like some half blood.” Luke rolled his eyes, softly taking a step backwards towards the door. “I need this more than you anyhow.”

@Bandito

Shace rolled her eyes back. "I'm not begging. I'm being paid." But as far as she could tell, he did seem to need it, so she didn't press.

Luke took out a golden coin from the bag, offering it up to Shace. “You haven’t seen me.” He insisted, closing the pouch again. His foot tapped on the floor anxiously, and he scanned his surroundings nervously every few seconds.

@Bandito

Shace took the coin from his hand and shrugged in agreement. "Why'd you take it. anyway? It's a lot of money…"

“Hate to be the bringer of bad news, Miss. But I ain’t got the time to create a tragic backstory at the moment. What’s it to you, anyways?” Luke gave her a toothy grin and shoved his hands in his pockets.

Luke rolled his eyes, still antsy from standing still. “Sorry, Miss. I don’t give up secrets that easily.” He winked at her playfully, tapping his fingers anxiously on his leg.

@Bandito

Shace flopped back down again. "Well, they're gone now, right?" She contemplated her reflection in a blade. "So if you need help, I'm here and your coins are there." The sun was starting to descend, so she started dumping everything in a pile on a thick blanket until the place was empty.

“Help?” Luke took one last cursory glance around the room before relaxing a little. “I don’t suppose you have a one way ticket to another country?” He snorted, rolling his eyes.

@Bandito

Shace wrapped up the bundle and snorted. "That's why I'm selling swords…Every time I look around I want to run away.."

Deleted user

“Nothin’ better than two runaways. What could go wrong?” Luke snarked, somewhat entertained by Shace. “Seems like you’ve got a good gig anyways.” Luke glanced towards the door.

@Bandito

"If we were careful, not much," Shace muttered, hunching her shoulders. "But if we were that careful, a ticket would cost five more years of selling stuff, so the risk would be taken." She threw the bag over her shoulder and smirked as she ducked out of the stand. "I don't suppose you have two thousand coins laying around somewhere?"

Deleted user

“Wouldn’t be standing here if I did.” Luke patted the small pouch on his belt. “I’m more of your er… Robin Hood type, except I am the poor I’m stealing for.” He scratched the back of his head, finally starting to relax enough to take a good look at his surroundings. “You make all these?” He gestured to the swords.

@Bandito

(Aw…)
Shace eyed him as she moved to the front of the vendor. "Yeah. They're mine." She was starting to get hungry but she would have to wait until later.

“Pretty good.” Luke stared at the wall of blades, his eyes gleaming. “You know how to fight with one too?”

(Awww, bye! :( )

@Bandito

"Nah. I only fine-tune and sharpen and polish and make these things because somebody told me they were cool," Shace deadpanned. She reached for a favorite, a long, thin black bastard(type of sword) sword named Vigil with a wrapped leather handle and curves in the sharp side.

Deleted user

“I can’t really tell if you’re joking but I think I’m gonna take off before I can find out.” Luke eyed the sword warily, taking a few causal steps backwards.

@Bandito

Shace snorted. She put Vigil in another blanket along with the rest of them and started to walk away. "Sure. Just remember what I said."

Deleted user

“What you said?” Luke wracked his brain for anything noteworthy in the past five minutes. Unfortunately, he was not the brightest elf around.

Deleted user

“You were serious?” Luke seemed taken aback. “I…” He fumbled over his words, unsure of what to say.
