"He's always been good about that… I hope his leg heals up soon. He hurt it pretty bad."
"He's always been good about that… I hope his leg heals up soon. He hurt it pretty bad."
"I hope too." He sighed, sinking down into a nest, "Sleep time??"
“Yep.” Finchsong curled up in her nest and soon fell asleep.
(Time skip?)
(Or we can switch POV?)
(Sure)
Tall green reeds towered over Ashpaw and the bright blue sky above was flocked with birds. Pushing his way through, he entered onto the shore. The river in front of him sparkled like stars. 'She would love this.' he thought, leaning down and staring into the water.
'She is home.' He randomly thought, sighing and looking up, he bowed his head, "Ok me, wake up now, I must talk with her." The dream around him then began to fade away.
Finchsong was already awake and working when Ashpaw woke up. "Ashpaw! You're awake. Sorry to just show up in the middle of the night like that…"
"I did not notice." He sighed, stretching then headbutting her, "I'm glad your ok!"
"Better than okay." Finchsong touched noses with Ashpaw. "I'm glad to see that the den's not trashed. Starclan informed me of Jaysong's rampant."
He paused and glanced out the den, "He did trash it." He then turned to the sleeping brown tabby tom, "Is this Oakleaf?"
Finchsong nodded. "He accompanied me on my journey. It was good not to be alone the whole way. We met some tribe cats at the mountains, as well."
"And what was the message Starclan gave you? Was it clear?"
(Yes it was clear, Marshtail already figured it out!)
"Yeah, pretty clear. I mean, they mostly just told me about the dangers of the rogues and how our lives would change drastically…"
"Really?" He ears pointed as he looked at her in surprise, "No prophecy? No riddle?"
Finchsong shook her head. "I mean, it was Marshtail and Creeksong. They've always been very forward…" She went to sort the herbs, which were already fairly neat.
"B-but….. How could they figure out the prophecy so quickly?"
"It… wasn't exactly a prophecy. Just information."
"Info they could have given at the moonstone." He huffed, "Maybe there was a different meaning, like this journey was suppose to happen for something greater?"
Finchsong shrugged. "That much isn't clear to me. Even Marshtail said he wasn't sure why I had to go all that way to hear the information. Perhaps Starclan thought I needed some exercise."
"I don't think so." Ashpaw shrugged, "Maybe they wanted you to meet a cat? There must be a reason."
"I mean, I got to know Oakleaf more. I'm sure our clans will have a stronger alliance now. Have you seen Goldenstream's new kits? They were born last night."
"What???" Ashpaws ears picked, "She had kits last night?!"
Finchsong nodded. “Five healthy kits. She’s named them Violetkit, Daisykit, Birchkit, Doekit, and Stagkit. Three she cats and two toms.”
(Birch and Stag are the two toms btw lol)
(I had no clue Goldenstream was expecting)
Ashpaw stared at her in amazement, "Wow, and you helped her with her kitting?"
(Lmao)
"Yep. You're welcome to go see them, if you'd like. I'm still exhausted." Finchsong flopped back down in her nest.
