@Fraust

"Considering you weren't speaking up earlier, I think it's something a little more than that. What is it?"

@Fraust

Finchsong sighed as well. "Well, we could always conveniently go on patrols and such at the same time. Then you'd get to see them every once in a while."

@Fraust

"Well, the kits seem adventurous already. What if they were to 'escape' while I was out looking for herbs, so I would bring them back? I don't know… it's hard, Oakleaf."

@Fraust

"Me too… perhaps someday, but unfortunately, that day is not today. Another moon, another many, our leaders may see a reason to unite the clans. I long for that day, but Starclan has told me nothing that would imply it happening in the near future."

@Fraust

"Hey! Don't forget the kits!" Finchsong picked up Stagkit and held him out to Oakleaf, her tail still wrapped around Doekit protectively.

@TheGoldenLegend

The tom let out a sigh and took the brown kit from her, turning back, he entered the drenched outdoors first. The sky was still gray with clouds, but it wasn't as dark as it was earlier ago.

@Fraust

"We should be pretty close…" Finchsong mumbled through Doekit's fur, hopping over a fallen tree. "I can detect the scent of Riverclan, although the rain has dampened it."

@TheGoldenLegend

(Woop, after all this time I still never saw this comment!)

"We haven't really gotten that far," Oakleaf said, "if they are we must have taken the long way to the mountains and never noticed this short cut!!"

@Fraust

"Perhaps. There's only one way to find out…" Finchsong stumbled a bit, but held her head up so as to keep Doekit off the ground. She was still exhausted and weak from kitting, and was putting forth a tremendous effort to simply stay on her paws.

@TheGoldenLegend

The brown tom searched the area as the descended down the slop to a marshier part of the valley, trees were fewer and the gray sky was lightening. Walking ahead of Finchsong, Oakleaf placed down Stagkit and pushed aside the long damp grass and created a path way.
"I hope," Oakleaf grunted, falling sideways onto a patch of grass, "they clans don't expect anything odd when they see the kits. They should not be punished for what we did."
