"I'm just nervous." He said quickly, "I really don't like this! I don't like any of it! I should be heading to Windclan right now, alone, and not with the worries of two kits flooding my mind."
"I'm just nervous." He said quickly, "I really don't like this! I don't like any of it! I should be heading to Windclan right now, alone, and not with the worries of two kits flooding my mind."
"I know, Oakleaf… we made a mistake, and now we need to take care of it. I'm sure Goldenstream will take great care of them with her new mate, Torrentpath, and no one needs to know where the kits actually came from."
"But they will wonder." He put in, watching as the lake came into view. Sighing, he said quickly, "Ok, lets just get there and get it over with."
Finchsong nodded and continued walking. "Should we swim? I mean, I can typically swim faster than I walk, but I'm not sure how well that'd work for you. I do sort of need to have both kits when we arrive."
"Ill carry Stagkit." He put in, "You can go for it, swimming and all, I'm staying dry with my son." He quickened his pace as he finished.
"Alright." Finchsong leapt into the water and began swimming. She wasn't wrong about being fast, and quickened her pace easily. She held her head up as much as possible in an attempt to keep Doekit dry.
Oakleaf watched as she waddled off. Holding Stagkit up high, he blazed off thought the marshy ground, keeping an eye on the path as well as his forbidden mate.
After about an hour, Finchsong came onto the shore and set down Doekit, gasping for breath. It was hard work, but they'd made good progress. "We will have to continue tomorrow. I can't go on any further today."
"TOO BAD I CANT HEAR YOU!!" Oakleaf cried from across the hill, he then went on talking about stuff but was too far for Finchsong to understand it.
"Oakleaf!" Finchsong sighed and stumbled after him, exhausted. "Wa… wait…" She collapsed, wheezing. Her fur was soaked and heavy, and she'd been walking all day.
"Now, that is how I felt a few minutes ago, but no, you wanted me to go swim. I knew it was a bad idea." Walking up too her, he began grooming her coat.
"Well, you could… could have told me not to! I-I would've walked with you…" Finchsong closed her eyes, keeping Doekit between her front paws.
He laughed lightly as her petty complaint, leaning forward he said, "Well then it wouldn't be as fun."
"What wouldn't? Watching me collapse from exhaustion just to prove a point? If that's not petty, I don't don't know what is…"
"Hey," He sighed lightheartedly, "are you saying Windclans traveling by land is better then Riverclans traveling by water?"
"No, I'm saying that you'd be exhausted too if you'd just shoved two living beings out of where the sun don't shine and then walked for days. How about you try that sometime?"
"I would love to but my gender cant do that sort of things, that's what make she-cat special."
"Mhm. Well, I'd suggest you stop mocking me before I get more miffed."
He nodded and licked Stagkit, "So you want to rest? Or walk?"
"Rest… I already told you I can't go any further today, and I believe the collapsing sort of proved that."
"Well," He said softly, "You kinda did set off on a journey home right after you kitted."
"Mhmm… you were the one who kept mentioning we needed to get back quickly." Finchsong lay down her head.
"Oookkkk." He sighed, laying down besides her.
(Time skip?)
(OK)
Ashpaw laid outside the medicine cat den. Almost all his clan mates were out and about, besides Whitefire and Jaysong. The young she-cat was soon to start kitting and Jaysong would not leave her side, no matter how hard Ashpaw tried to drag him out. Being the only medicine cat in Riverclan, the responsibility of carrying for others were unbearable, but with Lillypetal and sometimes Jaysong, the burden was some what lifted.
