(Omg! 😅)

”Have a nice day, ma’am.” Meg smiled after her. ”Well, she was an interesting first customer.” she chuckled a little to Theo, once the lady had left. ”Are tips common in this kind of job?”

@FanfictionFanatic-The-Elder group

She nodded and put the tip in her pocket. ”You’re telling me. One time, I saw some creep hitting on a girl and I expected him to be a Bluebeard but I never saw him woge.” she agreed as she started helping him organize the new books.

Once another one came in Theo leaned in and whispered "this one is a Volkodlak. Just fair warning. You can look at him and I'll let him know your okay or you can avoid eye contact."

@Hybrid-Is-tired

"Pickin' up the book "Quarantine* for my son's assigned reading his school is doing." the gruff voice of the man said.
Theo nodded to Meg to find this one on her own.

@Hybrid-Is-tired

He grumbled a bit but paid it out in cash "Thanks." he rumbled and walked out with the book.
"Did pretty good." Theo commented as he fit books in the empty spots in shelves

@FanfictionFanatic-The-Elder group

”Thank you.” she said to both of them before grabbing a few books and joining Theo by the shelves. ”Glad that worked out.” she told him, not admitting that she had been a little nervous. ”I know it's going to get out sooner or later but I don't want too many Wesen to know about me yet.”

@Hybrid-Is-tired

"I get that…I have to work really hard to get other wesen to trust me." he shrugged "Meghan that one goes before GRA's" he said and pointing to the book she had been about to put in. "Move it two over."

Meg nodded a little at his comment about trust, considering the reputation Fuchsbau had for being sly and shifty. The idea of a Wesen trusting a Grimm was just as, if not more, far fetched. But that wasn't the main reason she wanted to keep a low profile. ”Hm?” she looked at the book she had been about to put away when she realized her slight error. ”Oh, right.” she nodded placing it in the right spot.

@Hybrid-Is-tired

He nodded "There you go. oop another costumer. I'll get em you keep sorting." he said as he made his way to the front desk. This one was at the most a ten year old.
"Do you have the Magic Tree House books?" the small boy asked shyly
"Do I have them? I have every one of them squirt." Theo smiled as he motioned for the child to follow him

Meg held back a soft chuckle as she overhead the exchange between her new boss and the boy. Kids like that were always so cute, in her opinion. When she was little she had wanted a younger sibling but it never happened. She sighed very softly at the thought as she continued to place the books in the correct spots, still keeping an ear on the conversation.

@Hybrid-Is-tired

"I like the one where they go back to the time of knights and castles" The boy told Theo.

"I loved that one too. It's been a while since I've read those." Theo said softly as he pulled a couple of those books from a shelf and made their way back over. he handed over some money he claimed was from his birthday. Theo smiled and only charged him for two of the three books, giving back the change. "Go along now…it's time to read what Jack and Annie do next."

@FanfictionFanatic-The-Elder group

Meg smiled softly as she saw him give the boy the third book for free. Seems he had a soft spot for kids as well. She figured it might be because he grew up with three younger siblings. She walked back over to the box and picked up another armful of books to put away. ”Is he a regular too?”

@Hybrid-Is-tired

"He's been here once before. His mom shops over here and he always likes to buy from here when they're over." Theo explained "The kids are always so sweet when they come in here." A smile broke across his lips as well.

@Hybrid-Is-tired

He grinned a bit "It's the best to see the joy break out across their face when they come back after finishing their book, looking for the next one…" He helped her with the rest of the books and quite a few people came in the rest of the day, a lot of normals and a few Wesen mixed in, Theo warned her each time about them she she could avoid eye contact. Soon the day was drawing to a close though, this day just like many of the uneventful life he lead…but there was a loud bang this time that Theo was sure was not an animal.

@FanfictionFanatic-The-Elder group

Meg had smiled back with a small chuckle, looking forward to seeing that expression herself at this job. Unlike Theo, she was very glad for the sense of normalcy that this day held. It was amazing how fast her life had changed into this craziness and that made her appreciate how simple things had been before. She had done her best to avoid looking the Wesen customers in the eyes and was very grateful for Theo's warnings. One day she would let them know but not yet.
She looked up sharply at the loud noise and quickly made her way over to the door.

@Hybrid-Is-tired

Theo followed behind her quickly as they heard the noise in the side of the store. There were two people in the alley way seemingly in some sort of trade deal, exchanging money for something Meg couldn't quite see

@FanfictionFanatic-The-Elder group

Meg cast a quick glance at Theo as he joined her but quickly turned back to the two people who shouldn't be there. She slid one hand into a pocket and the other fiddled with the butterfly knife in her sleeve. She stood up calmly and strolled into the alley, stopping a couple feet away from them.

@Hybrid-Is-tired

The two people looked over in her direction and immediately they woged, both Fuchsbaus and looking surprised to see a grimm. Theo seemed to know what they were doing and yelled "Get the hell outta here! I moved to avoid that shit!" He took a step toward them with a growl, next to Meg. She could catch a glimpse of…was that a liver in one of their hands?

@FanfictionFanatic-The-Elder group

Meg didn't even flinch as they woged and kept a steady gaze on them. She didn't want to hurt them but Theo seemed very agitated so she flicked out her small blade, only intending to scare them. ”You heard him. Beat it!” she warned, snarling a bit herself at the end.
