"Of course." he handed back the studded bat and dialed the 911 "Hello? Yes this is Theo Sutton and we an officer to take in a deranged woman…" Theo started to say as he looked back over to Meg "I'm fine the woman has been subdued."
"Of course." he handed back the studded bat and dialed the 911 "Hello? Yes this is Theo Sutton and we an officer to take in a deranged woman…" Theo started to say as he looked back over to Meg "I'm fine the woman has been subdued."
Meg took both weapons and ran them over to her bike, hiding them before grabbing the rope. Before heading back she quickly untied her messenger bag and slung it over her shoulder. A part of her was a little nervous but she brushed aside the feeling as just being silly. She couldn't have been the first Grimm to work with a Wesen… Maybe not even the first to work with a Fuchsbau. ”Did they say how long they would take to get here?” she asked Theo as she got close.
"They said it would take about ten minutes. She didn't get you at all did she?" Theo asked. Wow that felt a bit weird to ask a Grimm if they were alright. Based on the stories he was told he would already be dead if she was anything like them.
Meg scoffed lightly as she started tying the woman's wrists and ankles. ”Of course. You get a better response time from the delivery boy.” she commented a little annoyed. She sighed a little and nodded at his concern. It was kind of strange but still nice. ”She never touched me. The most she did was shove that poor kid at me.”
"Good…I think he'll be fine." he nodded "And I think miss vampire spider is gonna be out for a while. You thwacked her pretty good."
”I hope so. He might be a little traumatized about bringing strange women back to his place for a while.” she joked a little, standing up. She smirked at the compliment. ”Thanks. And thanks for holding her back.” she said referring to the bite on the lady’s leg.
"No problem…we're just just gonna say we don't know how that happened alright?" Theo smiled a bit "Cause even if she says what happened who's gonna believe it?"
Meg shrugged. ”Well, I’ll have to admit to tying her up… I was thinking of saying I saw her attack either you or the guy she was with so I whacked her with my bag. My metal water bottle must have hit her and knocked her out.” she said ending her statement as if that was what actually happened and pulled out an old and dented refillable water bottle out of the corner of her bag.
"Alright…sounds belivable…oh shit I see the lights act as if we got attacked…which granted we technically did." he ruffled his hair a bit more before the officer cruiser pulled up. The officer got out and raised an eyebrow at the tied up woman "Ma'am…sir…I'm going to assume that this is the 'deranged woman'?"
”Yes, officer.” Meg nodded a little frantically, panting much heavier. ”I… I don't know what happened. I didn't mean to hurt her. She attacked us and I swung my bag to get away from her.” she told the policeman, fidgeting with her water bottle.
"It's okay ma'am. We've been getting a lot of strange reports lately." The officer got out some hand cuffs and leaned down, starting to untie her. "Well She'll be fine. She'll just have a nasty knot on her head. Now w-"
The woman woke up and woged, trying to feed on the officer "What kind of drug is she on?" The officer had her by the back hands. He got her to the cruiser and shut her in the back "Thank God you two called, we don't need people like her on the street. We'll make sure she gets the help she needs."
Meg nodded again at the cop, taking a cautious step back when the woman woke up. But she visibly relaxed when the car door was closed. ”Thank you, officer.” she said, calming her breathing down a bit more. Strange reports? Strange how? she wondered but she kept quiet, letting the cop leave.
"Well I don't know what help they're gonna get her." Theo said after the officer left "But it sounds like there's plenty of other reports like hers…" he turned to Meg "Almost makes me glad to have a Grimm around the city"
She nodded. ”Not really much they can do against her biology. Only thing I can think of is to keep her away from men every five years.” she sighed a little with a soft dry chuckle. ”Yeah. Sounds like I’m going to be pretty busy now. But thanks for your help again.” she looked at Theo. ”Wanna get a drink?”
"Alright sure this night can't get any weirder." Theo shrugged "Not much of a drinker but after that…I'll take you up on that offer"
Meg chuckled a bit. ”Honestly, neither am I especially since I have to drive.” she reminded him, starting to head over to her bike.
"One won't hurt." Theo said as he had his way over to the bike too. He patted his pocket to make sure he still had his wallet on him. He thankfully hadn't forgotten it so he'd be able to pay for his own drink
Meg nodded and straddled her bike. ”Hop on. I think I know a decent place.” she smiled and patted the back of the seat. ”I won't drive as fast this time.”
Theo nodded and got on, securing himself on the bike. "Alright I'm ready."
Meg nodded at his statement and started the engine. True to her word, she didn't go any faster than the speed limit. So far, this had been quite a night. Hopefully, the rest of it would be more normal… Or at least as normal as it can get for a Grimm.
Theo woged for a few minutes before changing back, enjoying the wind on his face. He smiled a bit as he couldn't really believe how weird his evening had really become
It took maybe about five more minutes before they reached the bar. It wasn't a very fancy kind of place but it wasn't some kind of dirty dive bar either. ”You ever been here before?” she asked as she parked.
"No, as I said I don't usually drink." he told her as he got off the bike "Do you come here often?"
”Not often but I've stopped here a couple of times.” she said, following him off the bike and walking to the door. Fortunately, it wasn't very crowded inside, probably because it was a weekday. ”You wanna sit at the bar or a corner table?” she asked spotting a couple of empty seats at both locations.
"The bar is okay." Theo told her as he went over and sat at the bar "What do you usually like to drink?" he asked as he patted the seat beside him
”I’m fine with just a beer.” Meg said, smirking a little as she hopped onto the stool next to him. ”What about you? What's your drink?” she asked.
"Just a light beer really." he said as he ordered for the both of them.
She raised a brow slightly as he ordered for both of them but didn't comment. It had been a while since she actually got to hang out with anyone casually any more. It could be nice… Besides, he helped her out and she asked if he wanted to come. ”So, how long have you lived up here?” she asked, hoping to start a normal conversation.
"Five years. It was good to get out of Georgia to be honest. I like it better up here. The heat down there was killer." Theo told her with a little smile "I much prefer cold weather. How about you?"
”Georgia? I thought I heard a Southern twang back there.” Meg smiled back. ”As for me, I was born and raised right here. But my dad was from the Midwest.” she shrugged. ”I kinda like the warmer weather but I don't mind the cold too much.”
