"Yeah a forest wide manhunt for runaway arrows." he laughed a little as he told "They were found a couple hours after dark…I mean not really a problem for my family."
"Yeah a forest wide manhunt for runaway arrows." he laughed a little as he told "They were found a couple hours after dark…I mean not really a problem for my family."
“Right. Night vision.” she nodded, laughing lightly with him. “You’re lucky. I needed to use a flashlight and look on my own.” she said with a smile to show she wasn't bothered by being alone.
"Not quite alone anymore though you got a living flashlight now." he chuckled a bit as he loaded up the crossbow for target practice
Meg smiled softly and gave a small nod. “I guess that's true but I'm not going to let you search alone either.” she assured him, watching how he handled the crossbow.
He was a little awkward at first "oh this string's got more weight behind it than it looks like." he said with a chuckle and it took a couple of tries to actually get a hit on a target, the other hits being trees and dirt
Meg nodded. “Yeah. There’s actually a latch near the trigger that holds the string back so you can load the bolt.” she explained, pointing out the mechanism. “Your aim is pretty good for not holding a crossbow before.”
"thanks…now let's get those bolts before you actually have to use the wesen flashlight." he said with a little grin as he carefully put the crossbow down
“Good idea.” she laughed lightly and nodded, walking over to pick up some of the stray bolt shots.
"you know this is….real nice. Hanging around you. You're kind and just…not what everyone thinks when they think…Grim." he told her as he gathered the rest and the crossbow itself
Meg nodded a little, agreeing that their time together was nice, as her cheeks turned a very soft shade of pink. “Thank you, Theo. And honestly, you're not exactly what I expected of a Fuchsbau from my books.” she said, hoping to repay the compliment.
"I guess they're just a tad outdated…I'm glad you're able to write in you journal for future Grimms cause…there's no reason wesens and grimms can't get along…I mean hey look at us….alright I guess we should pack up cause it's getting a bit late." he said, noting the setting sun
“Maybe just a little.” Meg smirked slightly, teasing. “But, since I met you, I've had a lot to add to those books.” she admitted before leading him back to the house.
"yeah and I got a lot to say about Grimms to any of my future children…that some are actually pretty neat." he told her as they walked back inside
Meg chuckled softly, her cheeks gaining a pale pink tint. “I hope you’ll still tell them to be cautious all the same. I haven't met any other Grimms so I don't know if they still act like… Well, I guess they would be our ancestors. Which would make me an oddity.” she admitted a little sadly.
"yeah that also could be the truth." He nodded "at any rate this was really fun and informative." Her told her with a slight grin "though it's getting late so I don't wanna be too much a bother…I guess I should head back home."
“This was fun.” she agreed with a soft smile. “But you're not a bother, Theo. I… don't get much company out here, for obvious reasons, but having you here is nice.” Meg admitted.
"well it's nice to make a new friend." He told her with a smile and put the weapon back carefully "maybe next time we should go out to do something normal friends would, cause we are to me now."
Meg smiled back, with a soft blush, and nodded. She hadn't had anyone she could call a friend in a long time. “I’d like that… but I might be a little rusty on normal stuff.” she chuckled as she hung up the small bolt pouch. “The most normal thing I did recently was playing Clue with you.”
"Well we can teach each other things. You teach me weapons and stuff and I teach you how to be normal friends." he told her with a chuckle
“That sounds nice.” she agreed, turning to face him. “And, in the meantime, we still work together. So you have a little extra security for the bookstore.” she added with a brief chuckle.
