He took a pen from his shirt pocket and scribbled the address down "This'll be much easier with a guy that knows what he's getting into. A Spinnetod likes to feed on males…you're not a guy so you're not gonna find her without one around." he reasoned, handing over the scrap of paper as he phoned his friend
She took the paper and memorized the address. It would be so easy to leave now and leave him behind. ”I know she won't go after me because I'm not a guy but that’s my advantage. She won't benefit from killing me but I'm a Grimm. I can handle her on my own.” she insisted. Though it wouldn't hurt to have someone who knew the fastest way to the apartment…
"She'll run the first moment she looks into your eyes. I know I wanted to do that…plus you'll need to know where she can pop up, and where she can try to escape." Theo tried to further convince her.
Meg knew he had a point but… ”I don't blame you for that, but have you ever fought something like that? Or can you run fast enough to get away?” she asked, still not saying yes.
"If she's a threat to my friends then I'm not letting her get away without at least taking a chunk out of her." he said, crossing his arms. "I'm going."
Meg let out a soft almost laugh. ”If you’re that serious about it…” she shook her head. ”Alright. You volunteered, I guess you can come. Just be careful and listen to me.” she instructed. ”If I say run, you’d better book it.”
He nodded "alright sure thing…boy this isn't how I expected to spend my night." Theo muttered "Alright I'm gonna lock up now." he said, motioning to the door as he pressed dial on his friend's number and warned his friend of a dangerous woman spotted around his area "Don't worry police already know I just wanted to make sure you're safe. If you see her lock your door." he explained as he waited outside the shop for Meg, his shop keys in the other hand
”Good.” she nodded. ”You and me both.” she told him when he finished his call and walked outside with him. ”You know that I don't work with the police.” She walked over to her bike. ”You ready?” she asked, starting the engine and mounting it.
"Yeah I know I'm just putting in in terms that he'll keep out of this." He told her as he followed "I live close by so I didn't drive my car." he explained "I guess I'll ride with you if that's okay." He got on behind her and held onto the handles on the back of the seat.
”That’s fine. I figured it would be faster if we rode together anyway.” she agreed, waiting until he was on before driving off. ”We make it through this and I’ll drive you home after.” she promised. Meg was a good driver, though she did push the speed limit a little especially when she had a job to do.
Theo felt as if he left his stomach back at the shop. It turned out he just found out in about five seconds that he did not like motorcycles very much and before he though about it too much he wrapped his arms around Meg's waist, blushing heavily even if he felt more secure on the bike now.
Meg didn't take her eyes off the road as Theo held on to her, though she did raise a brow slightly at the suddenness of it before smirking a little. This wasn't the first time she’d had a passenger, and definitely not the first time being used as a lifeline like this.
He soon relaxed just a bit ashe felt a bit more safe. Meg was definitely different that how he had heard Grimms described. She didn't attack him even after seeing him woge. Maybe they had changed just as Wesen have over the years
Meg sighed a little as they pulled up to the apartment building. She parked around the corner and turned off the engine. ”See anything yet?” she asked, waiting for him to let go before she stood up.
He quickly let go of her waist and let out a breath he had been holding for about fifteen seconds. He got off and started to walk to the entrance people would go up if they forgot their key "If she doesn't live here this is where she will have to enter"
”Or she already found someone who lives here and hooked up.” Meg pointed out, tying her messenger bag around one of the handles. ”Depending on her style or preferred type she could have found a guy at a bar or something and is talking him up about going back to his place.” she said as she pulled out a kanabo and machete. ”Here. Pick one. I'm not about to let you out there with out a fair chance.”
Theo's eyes lit up as his hand close around the handle of the studded bat "I read about these! I never though I'd see a real one…I guess I picked." He smiled up at Meg. It vanished when he heard a car pull up and start to slow down as it neared the apartment they were at
Meg smirked at his excitement when he took his weapon before turning her attention to the approaching car. She gripped her sword tightly and pushed his hand holding the bat down to his side gently. Taking a stance in front of him, she watched the car to see if the Wesen she was looking for was in it.
It definitely looked to be a late night hook up scenario. The female was giggling and appeared to be quite intoxicated as the young maybe 22 year old guy helped her out "You sure you wanna spend the night. I could drive you home I really don't mind"
"No No handsome I wanna spend the night with you. You're such a gentleman." she said as she leaned against him, the pair making their way to over.
Meg kept the sword hidden and walked out towards the couple. If this was her, she almost felt a little bad for the Wesen. It was just her genetics but that wasn't an excuse. ”Excuse me. Can you help me out? I’m looking for a friend and I think she lives here.” she said, keeping her eyes on the woman.
"Well what's her name?" The young guy asked as the woman wasn't looking away from the guy, possibly a little hunger in her stare but she was drunk so who really knew?
”Rachel.” Meg lied smoothly. ”Looks older than she really is… I think she has blonde hair now. She changes so often it's hard to keep track of her.” she said speaking clearly, still keeping the woman in her sights. Hopefully the subtle references to the Spinnetod’s imperative biology would trigger some kind of reaction.
The woman frowned a bit and responded with "Well I don't know a Rachel…come on Felix I'm so looking forward to giving you the night of your life."
The guy, apparently named Felix eyed the woman's hair for a second 'well this is Heather so you couldn't mean her."
Meg sighed. ”Ok. I didn't want to start a panic but that woman I’m looking for is a potential serial killer. Two men have already ended up dead because of her and I was hired to find her and bring her in.” she said seriously.
"Who are you anyway?" Heather looked to Meg and locked eyes. She woged and her face took on a more arachnid-like appearance. What could they do while she was locked around Felix's arm?
