Cammy furrowed her brows at that, even though Hunk quieted. Something was wrong. Was it the thing about him being Galra?

There wasn't anymore time to question Alex's weird behaviour as they arrived at the Galra ship, "Alright, Alex and Cammy, you take the right, Pidge and Hunk, you take left, and I'll take center. Take out as many ships as you can."
Cammy continued humming, the tune changing to something that might have honestly been the Star Wars theme. She followed Shiro's directions, Blue shifting to fly to the right.
Alex directed Red to the right, too, blocking out Cammy's humming. He focused on the incoming fight ships, easily dodging the attacks thrown their way.
Cammy's humming cut off abruptly, remembering Alex's comment about it being distracting. She bit her lip to refrain from continuing, instead focusing on blasting the attack ships.
Alex wasn’t really attacking back at the incoming ships, more dodging and deflecting but not attacking them. Even though he knew he should be destroying them, there was still that lingering part that knew he that these were his poeple, too and he couldn’t do it.
"Alex, behind you!" Cammy warned, eyes on the drones coming up behind him. So focused, in fact, that she didn't notice the slightly larger attack ship coming up on her until it rammed into Blue's side.
Alex just dodged the ships behind him and was about to give a short thank you to Cammy when he noticed she was hit, “Cammy? Are you okay?” He flew over, activating his bayard and a spew of fire hit the front of the ship.
"Just peachy!" Cammy said, managing to right Blue. "God, that woulda left a bruise." She muttered, shaking her head as she jumped back into the fight. "Thanks, man."
“You’re welcome.” Alex relied before falling back into silence again. He pulled his bayard out, dodging a near hit.
Cammy laughed as she pulled a few near-miss maneuvers, absolutely enjoying the thrill. "How's it going on the other fronts, y'all?"
“Going fine on my end, though I might need some backup soon!” Shiro said through the coms, following by a grunt as he took a hit.
"Alex'll come help ya out if ya need it. Just summon him!" Cammy replied, dodging a coordinated attack.
"Pidge and I are mostly good." Hunk said, fear lacing his voice. "Even if I feel like I'm gonna hurl."
Alex frowned a little at Cammy's remark but didn't say anything. Shiro hummed softly, "I actually think I need everyone up here, we can try and form Voltron and get this over with."
"Alright alright alright." Cammy sing-songed, blasting at an attack ship. "Quick question though. Does anyone actually know how the hell we form this super weapon?"
“No. I don’t think anyone does. Let’s try flying in formation.” Shiro suggested.
Cammy made a noise of casual agreement, paired with a shrug no one else could see. Anxiety suddenly knotted her stomach at the prospect, mainly at the fact that they had no clue what they were doing. She kept quiet though, following Shiro's lead as Blue and the other lions eventually made their way into a basic formation.
“Alright team, we can do this, we’ve just gotta believe in one another.”
Alex sighed and rolled his eyes and Shiro’s cringy attempt to hype the team up but he didn’t say anything about it.
"D'you believe in life after love~" Cammy sang softly, apparently unaware she had even done so. "Y'think it's just that easy? Believing in each other?"
"Yes, I do. We were chosen to do this, to defend the universe. If we don't believe in each other then we;re not going to save many people, are we?"
"I guess not." Cammy agreed, albeit a bit reluctantly. Sure, she believed in Hunk. He was her best friend, and he'd been there for her since the moment they'd met. And Pidge, smart, slightly scary, and talented Pidge, had her full trust, even if she was occasionally wary around him. She even believed in Shiro, who'd been one of her heroes, a role model at the Garrison. But Alex…she hated him. Or, she was supposed to hate him…
"He's right," Alex spoke up, albeit quietly, "We need to form Voltron, and we need to believe we can do this."
I believe he's a good person. Cammy shook her head, tightening her grip on the joystick. "Let's fuckin' do this then."
"Alright team. Form Voltron!"
It took a moment, as if it wasn't actually going to happen, but then were bursts of red, blue, yellow, green and purple light. The light engulfed the five lions and when it fizzled out into nothing, the planet saving Voltron was formed.
"Holy shit holy shit holy shit." Cammy looked around the cockpit, eyes wide. They had actually done it. "Are y'all seeing this?"
"I'm a leg!" Hunk exclaimed, among Pidge's curious mutterings that were mostly tuned out.
