The character is given a letter two things inside, a peculiar photo of a forest with a bright green triangle lit up in the night sky and a tape recording.

Jia - "EVERYONE! ROO IS TRYING TO RECORD THE AUDIO, PLEASE BE QUIET!"

Roo - "T-thank you Jia, H-hello, to… whoever is receiving this. My name is Roo,… yes like a kangaroo…, and me and the rest of my year 9 class are….. trapped…. at a school camp. We don't exactly know what happened, but all of the staff members have disappeared, none of the phone lines are answering, and we are surrounded in kilometres of Australian forest."

Jia - "It's pretty fucked."

Roo - "But three nights ago, we all were making the trip to the nearby radio tower to call for an emergency, only for this big bright green triangle to illuminate in the sky, glitching in an out of focus. Ethan was able to snap a photo of it."

Ethan - "Your welcome."

Roo - "Since then, none of us have been able to leave or call for help, and this radio tower is the only form of emergency communication we at our disposal. Weird things have been happening lately, and we are scared and confused. Our coordinates are…… Ethan pass me the sheet…… 25°59'36.6"S 152°54'27.5"E …… Ok…. We hope we can get a response…. please let us know your there…"

Your language seems like it differs a lot depending on social barriers and classes. Do those considered more intellectual or higher class learn high Menna, or is it arbitrary? It’s also quite interesting that your people have forgotten the true meaning of the name of your island. What theory do you believe is closest to the truth?

The place called Kaspite Dodascuks sounds like it is a center for higher learning on your island. How many students are present there, and what is the focus of your studies? How do your abilities affect what you are taught?

Ah, I see. One sun is dimmer, so you consider then time when it is up to be night. Do you use Solios or Selun to calculate your calendar, or are they in sync so you can use both?

Kaz and I are actually going to go investigate the true culprit later today—well, I haven’t told him this, but I’m sure he’ll agree to go nonetheless. A ship docked nearby is owned by the same company that sponsored Vera City, called MechaCorp, and I believe that ship is likely to have copies of the security tapes from before Vera City was destroyed. By the time I reply, we should know who was really behind this.

High Menna is learned by those taught by family or from Kaspít Dodaskux. Some disciples teach others. But that is rare. It is not better than another language. But it is the old way. We are taught much. First, to connect to our great dexár. And as time goes, we learn to control it and grow strong. But there are other lessons. We learn Histories, and to plant, learn service, reading and writing, to add and subtract, to make clothes, and live alone. Before I was born, there were few disciples. But now there are many. Perhaps sixty.
With these other teachings we are taught to use our dexár with thought, humbleness, dains {translations: openhandedness, freedom, giveness} , and cunning and virdyns {translation: strength for goodness}.
No. There are not two Solíus. There is a Solíos and Selún. Selún is a cold tranqísyk {translation: calm and quiet} light.
We use Solíos. I do not know how though. But I do know there are 365 days in the year. The year is divided into two parts Kalórkrotem {translation: Warmtime} and Frigkrótem {translation: Coldtime}. I just Googled those coordinates and wow. You guys are kilometres away from any civilization. What kind of school camp has you that isolated? ^{the suspicious kind} Actually, what kind of school uses an extremely isolated camp for field trips?? ^{the shady kind} _{that's fair}

That triangle thing looks really weird. ^{…it kind of looks like a video game checkpoint} It does look like something from a video game, yeah. I don't know how to help, we're I'm literally an ocean away from you guys. I'd stay away from it, if I were you. I've found that the supernatural unexplained things end up fucking you over.

Hugo - "Guy's it literally says recording on the side of the device"

Jia - "We get it Hugo, your smart now can you just-

Roo - "Quiet both of you. Um..

Dear Mordecai (And Nathan), Thank you for your urgent response back to us. We needed to know that there were still people out there that we could contact. Me and the other 89 kids that are here have been stressing out of our minds still tryna figure out whats going on."

"You asked us some questions in the letter we got, and were gonna try and answer them as best we can."

"Yes, we have food, water and shelter so there are no immediate worries there. The school camp we are at is called "Gumtree outdoor education centre.", a camp that is designed to help us with our practical skills, such as making our own food by harvesting, learning how to build makeshift shelters, etc. That said, there is still plenty of food in the pantry for the time being. As for shelter and water, the water tanks fill up with rainwater and for shelter we have a boys cabin and a girls cabin each housing 50 beds for each. Umm……What was the next question?"

Hugo - "How long have we been here."

Jia - "Oh, well we found this out yesterday"

Roo - "The camp was meant to go for about 5 weeks. However, considering it seems as though all other trace of humanity seems to have disappeared (In the coast anyway), we haven't been able to leave for an extra week. Hugo, do you want to update Mordecai on what else has happened?"

Hugo - "Uh, well, Ethan and his group of friends, followed Nathan's advice and went to go explore the area where the triangle was. After some walking, they came across a dock on the river, with what looked to be a girl standing on the pier. When Ethan went to take a photo,…. this is what the camera caught.

Hugo - "We still have no idea as to who that girl was, because by the time Ethan put his camera away, she had vanished."

Jia - "I want to know what those… ghost looking things are? They are fucking scary."

Hugo - "Indeed, I'm surprised Ethan didn't drop the camera in fright."

Jia - "You should go help hi-"

Roo - "No Jia! I'm not gonna do anything with Ethan! I've already been mocked enough by his friends for having affections for him, so I don't want to give him another reason to avoid me! I'm sick of being treated like shit from them, so even though I still love him dearly, I'm gonna remove myself from Ethan as much as possible."

1. Is Humanity functioning normally in Canada? We still aren't entirely sure what's happening over here.

2. Did one of you cut your finger or something? There is blood stains over the right side of the letter.

3. (And arguably most importantly) Who are you? We don't know anything about either of you, and despite the dire state we are in right now, it would take our mind of things to get to know you better."

Roo - "We hope to hear from you both again… and we will keep updating you on our progress so far…."
