She lightly poked his side. "Stop being such a Debby Downer."
She lightly poked his side. "Stop being such a Debby Downer."
He snorted, hugging her tighter. "Alright, alright."
She absentmindedly traced invisible patterns over his chest, then stopped when she remembered how much he hated it. "Sorry," she mumbled.
He waved it off. "Whatever, I don't really care at this point."
"Why not?"
"'No more Debbie Downer,'" he quoted.
She rolled her eyes. "That's not what I meant."
"Whatever makes you happy, I'm fine with," he said cheerfully.
She snorted. "Yes, because doing something unconsciously makes me happy. And I won't have you complaining every two seconds about how weird it feels, so no. I'm not doing it."
He shrugged. "I didn't notice until you pointed it out."
"Ah, so you're getting used to it?" She resumed, tracing lazy swirls and circles.
"Yes," he said, running a hand through her hair, "I am."
She closed her eyes, content and practically purring. This is what she needed. Just a lazy day and someone to share it with.
"Who was that girl that threw the chain around me when I was a dragon?" he asked randomly.
"Probably another recommendation. I've never met her, but she looked like a dragon hunter."
"Not a very good one," he noted, running his fingers through a knot in her hair.
"Isla's a good warrior, but she got caught off guard. It was chaos, and most of her dragons probably don't turn into men," she pointed out, eyes still closed.
"Fair enough. She was strong. Like, stronger than you strong. Felt like I was getting hanged whenever she threw that chain around me."
"Chains are heavy. Especially ones meant for dragons. I should know."
"So heavy it made me as slow as you," he teased.
She lightly smacked his chest. "Shuddup! It's not my fault my dragon's a fatass."
He chuckled. "I only wish I had it's fire-breathing."
"I can cover half a battlefield in one swoop," she said, a small smirk playing on her lips.
"Yet you still can't catch me," He said, prodding her side gently.
"It's why I'm the tank of the group." She lightly poked him back.
