"But you'll meet a lot of interesting people. And some fellow demons. You'll meet people who grew up with Cinthia and probably know her better than anybody. Except for Demitri. He's been there since the beginning."

"Yeah, yeah, yeah. But no one can replace you," he said with a wink.
"Aw. How sweet." She smiled down at him. "I am one of a kind."
"Perfect tends to be hard to find," he said, mentally fist pumping. That was a good one.
She beamed, and instead of answering, leaned down and kissed his cheek. Her lips lingered teasingly.
"How many Boyfriend Points was that?" he asked.
"Hmm." She pretended to think about it. "I'll give you ten because it also appealed to my ego."
"Only ten?" he asked, pounting.
"Ten is quite a lot, considering how hard it is to please me." She said seriously, but the smile twitching at her lips was ruining her image.
"I would have given 15 for a the smoothness."
"Ah, but that's you. You're nice and sweet. I, on the other hand, am a cold-hearted bitch. So you get twelve points as a compromise." A pointless argument, since the Boyfriend Points weren't really a thing. Eh. Whatever.
"I'll take it," he said, leaning up to give her a light kis on the cheek.
"As we were rudely interrupted earlier by your mother, you wanna go on that date?"
"Does it mean I have to get up?"
"Well, if you want to go somewhere, yes, that generally means you have to get up."
"Uuuuuuhhhhhhhhggggggg. Fineeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee." He sat up, groaning the whole way.
She laughed. "We don't have to go. I'm fine with just being lazy for a week."
"How long is the carnival here for?" He asked
"Ummm. A month, I think. It lasts for a while. Not too sure since I moved here after last year's carnival."
"We will go this week, I promise," he said.
She nodded. "Works for me." She flopped back on the bed, already feeling lazy. Oh, yeah. I need to pick up those pictures.
"I jus' don't feel like getting up." He looked sleepy.
"Ditto." She reluctantly got up and started cleaning up the pictures, not really paying attention to their contents.
"There's something about you that makes me sleepy," he said, raising his head to watch her.
She paused. "I'm not exactly sure how to take that."
