She chuckled. "If you can kill with it, probably. Aeria might steal it to… bedazzle it with a few spikes for added effect."
She chuckled. "If you can kill with it, probably. Aeria might steal it to… bedazzle it with a few spikes for added effect."
"A spike? How the hell am I supposed to cook with it, then?" he asked.
"Get a new one?" She suggested with a growing smile. "I'm sure someone will smuggle you into the kitchens. The cooks love some company. You'll be accepted with open and flour-covered arms."
"Not that I can cook worth shit," he said.
"Nonsense. You make a mean bowl of cereal."
"I'll get tossed out on my ass if I try and pull that shit, guaranteed."
She laughed. "Unlikely. Cinthia and Demitri always snuck into the kitchens to try and steal some food when they were kids. The cooks caught on and started "accidentally" making extras and leaving them out. They're the ones who taught the two how to cook."
"Is there anyone that I can mention who I am?" He asked, scratching the top of his head.
She sighed as she thought. "Demitri could likely give you quite a few names. But to keep it general–the citizens of the Capital, the Empress, the Emperor, and maybe the other royals. Maybe. I think they might've been chill with Cinthia. Can't really remember her mentioning them."
He looked up at her. "And if they aren't?"
"Then hope the gods will have your back."
He winced. "I don't have very good luck with that type of stuff."
"Weeeeeelllll."
_
"Wellllllll what?" He asked.
"There may or may not be the six most important gods of the Nazekian people living there…"
He groaned again. "Fuuuuuuuuck."
She pecked his lips. "You'll do fine. Most of them are more goofball than god. Mainly Tiger and Griffin."
"Most isn't all," he pointed out.
"You'll be fine. They're a lower class of god than Cinthia and the Royals. You say you know them, they'll have your back."
He sighed. "I wish I wasn't so cynical. Life would be a lot less stressful."
"Yes it would." She agreed, pecking his nose. "But I still love you, so there's that."
"That," he said with a smile. "Is a definite plus."
"Mmm. Then you'd better spend your week well, my dear," she purred with a growing smile. "Cause I won't be around to coddle you after you get a slice of life as an Alaunian."
"That's the minus," he said.
