Tessa pondered out loud as she paced. "A robot cat named Max set rules and explicitly said the people who brought us here are bad. But if we try to leave, we're doomed." She huffed an unamused laugh. "How fun."
Tessa pondered out loud as she paced. "A robot cat named Max set rules and explicitly said the people who brought us here are bad. But if we try to leave, we're doomed." She huffed an unamused laugh. "How fun."
"And we're not allowed to try to hurt each other. But everyone seems nice, so that shouldn't be a problem."
"I wouldn't jump to any conclusions," Tess grumbled, referring to herself, well aware of how not nice she was.
"I trust you," Lacie smiled trying to make her feel better
Tessa shrugged, not convinced. "I suppose we have no choice but to trust each other. We are stuck here after all." She tilted her head, listening through the vent she stopped under for any tell-tale sounds of torture she herself had been subjected to in many similar places.
“Oh”
Tess heaved a sigh of relief, thankful for no screams. She didn't smell any blood either. "Well, whoever is keeping us here can't be too bad…"
"What do you mean?" Danny was confused.
She shook her head. "Nothing. Just thinking out loud." She resumed her pacing.
Lacie began muttering and pacing back and forth
Tessa sighed and leaned against a wall with her arms crossed behind her head. Her t-shirt lifted up slightly from the movement, showing a sliver of her stomach and a hint of a single prominent scar running down the her middle.
"What's that from?" Danny asked curiously. He pointed at the scar.
Tess startled at the question, quickly pulling down her shirt. "Nothing…"
Lacie glanced over gave a small sigh and continued her rambling
Tess gritted her teeth, annoyed by the muttering and tense from resurfacing memories. "What are you rambling about!?"
Lacie jumped a little.
"I-I'm sorry." she said sheepishly.
Tessa rubbed at her temples and slid down the wall. "No. I'm sorry. You're fine." Her eyes darted around the room. I could easily leave this place, but I might put the others in danger if I do. Guess I'll just have to suck it up. Out loud, she asked, "Do we at least know what world we're in? Earth I hope."
Lacie shook her head. "I wish I knew, I can't remember anything," she began distorted her face trying to remember.
"Eh." She felt behind her ears and groaned, throwing her head against the wall and dropping her hands. "You gotta be kidding me! They took my hearing aids?!"
Danny tried not to smile. "I think I can hear well enough for the both of us."
Tess looked over to Danny, a small smile twitching at the corner of her lips. "Actually, I have them because I hear too well. They make it so loud noises don't harm my ears." She tapped her ears as if they were there. "They're also communication devices, linked with the ones my friends have."
Tristan leaned against the wall and stayed quiet, listening to the conversation
"Ooh, those sound fun." His eyes gleamed as he imagined what he could do with something like that.
Lacie was starting to get annoyed. "Why are we here? What are we supposed to be doing?" she ran her fingers through her hair.
Tristan sighed, "Yeah, please enlighten me with your answer."
