Lurelin was founded after the Great Flood by a distinct Hylian ethnic group known as the 'Farian' people, a people that are directly descended from the inhabitants of Outset Island, home of the Hero of the Winds. Unlike much of Hyrule, they believe in a subset of Divinism where they worship both Hylia and Farore, the Goddess of the Winds.
