Annelie was born as the youngest child of a tailor in Euria's capital city of Bellmare, 8 years after her older sister Noelle and 4 years after her older brother Coryn.

Not long after Annelie was born, however, a Duskwing Syndicate Subjugation invaded Bellmare in an attempt to seize it. Her father died trying to protect them, and to make things worse their shop was burned down in the chaos. With nowhere else to go, the family was forced to flee into the slums. As such Annelie has no memories of her father, and she does not know of any other life than that of poverty.

Despite this, she still retains a kind and childlike outlook on life, caring for her family the best she can and delighting in any small joy she can find. As such, she keeps her family's morale up and encourages them to go on when things get difficult.
