Wowzers
Female
26 years old (Dragon equivalent)
The leader of the Ramshackle Sanctuary. She is cold, stoic, and brooding, but also shows some benevolence to her clan members.
Not many members know her well save for her co-leaders, but even they only know her on a sub-surface level.
Wowzers is not very talkative and often has a cold aura about her. She doesn't like being held back by small talk and is only interested on interaction that are of interest to her, and she does not comment on many things (initially). She keeps other dragons at a distance in order to maintain an image of respect, though she understands that this doesn't work for everyone, creating an image of harshness instead.
Wowzers tries to display her benevolence by engaging with the clan when she isn't busy, but she is still held back by the Fae's limited ability to express emotion.
While in public she is more reserved, in private quarters she allows herself to express her opinions and feelings, which the co-leaders of the clan are aware of. When speaking with her co-leaders, she does so in a softer tone of voice more natural to her.
While Wowzers is more goodly-aligned, she is not opposed to using underhanded tactics to achieve her goals.
Wowzers does what she does because she wants to make up for her previous failure, leading the Rivajas. The noble goal of the Sanctuary, as well as the people she's meet because of it, also keeps her going.
Wowzers has a fear of failure, which makes itself evident when she is about to fail or has failed. She is determined to keep herself afloat and get to her goal, willing to discard people if that's what it took.
She keeps herself rather detached from other clan members aside from her co-leaders, leading to her not having many 'friends' and perhaps a handful of enemies.
Wowzers tends to have prejudice towards dragons of the Nature and Light flight. Malovat has disproven her thoughts about both flights, though she still remains wary of dragons aligning themselves with them, especially after the planting of the First Seed.
January 13th
Wowzers was once a member of the Rivajas clan, a large clan situated by the Wyrmwound. When she was young, a large chunk of the clan were inflicted with a disease which they had no immunity to. To lessen the damage, the clan moved away into the Abiding Boneyard.
By way of elimination, Wowzers became the leader of the Rivajas clan. Due to a variety of factors, the Rivajas clan withered away, leaving Wowzers feeling defeated over her failure as a leader.
Wowzers would live on despite her grief. Knowing she wouldn't make it on her own, she planned to move up north to the Dragonhome. Along the border between The Scarred Wasteland and The Tangled Wood, Wowzers met up with Delphian. Though they were strangers, but they took care of each other along their shared journey. Wowzers was inspired by her friendship with Delphian to start anew, beginning the Ramshackle Sanctuary.
Wowzers does not make her history known to the regular members of the Sanctuary, but her story is well known to a close friend of hers.
As far as history knows, Wowzers has no biological parents. She was found as an abandoned egg by the clan called the Rivajas. The Rivajas used to reside close to the Wyrmwound, however, tragedy struck, forcing the clan to move away from the Wasteland's center.
When Wowzers was a month old, a fair number of the clan members contracted a disease and began showing similar symptoms to one another. Catching a disease was not uncommon, living by the Wyrmwound, but many clan members who caught this illness reported suffering from great pain leading up to their death. The doctors of the clan rushed to find a cure or at least a way to lessen the pain, but ultimately the clan opted to move away where it'd be safer.
The Rivajas made a new settlement in the Abiding Boneyard. At this time, the disease now had a name; Ghost Scarring. It also seemed like the decision to move away was made a little too late, as a majority of the clan members were suffering from an invisible pain. In this time, those who didn't seem to be affected devoted their time to teaching the young the ways of the Wasteland. Wowzers, despite her diminutive size, showed the most potential during this time as she displayed her prowess and strength boldly.
These attributes would, later on, lend Wowzers the role of leading the Rivajas when a majority of its former leadership passed away. She took the role seriously but lacked the maturity that would make her a good leader. Wowzers ruled with an iron fist, aiming to never replicate the 'mistakes' previous leaders made, doing so by instilling new, strict rules that if not followed would result in one leaving the clan. Wowzers' new policies resulted in a slow trickle of dragons leaving the clan, whether it be because they broke a rule, because they disagreed with Wowzers' view, or died from the Scarring.
Wowzers tried to push the remaining doctors to research the Scarring faster, but ultimately the effort was not enough. Wowzers, despite her great efforts, watched has the Rivajas clan slowly died. Eventually, Wowzers was alone in the vacant Rivajas settlement.
Wowzers was sent into a state of depression by her failure of a leader but continued to live on in spite of her grief. Knowing she wouldn't be safe in the Scarred Wasteland by herself, Wowzers took off to the North where she originally intended to make a new home within the Dragonhome. At the border between Plague, Earth, and Shadow, however, Wowzers stumbled into a Nocturne who also seemed to be escaping from their homeland. Although they were complete strangers, they looked after one another as they shared similar goals.
Their closeness is what would eventually motivate Wowzers and Delphian to start anew, founding the Ramshackle Sanctuary.
As far as history knows, Wowzers has no biological parents. She was found as an abandoned egg by the clan called the Rivajas, a mighty clan that used to reside by the Wyrmwound. Wowzer only remembers this might briefly, however, as when she was around a year old, major members of the clan fell ill to a disease against which they weren't strong. 2 out of 5 major members passed away until it was decided that the Rivajas would move to the Abiding Boneyard to curb the damages. Things seemed to work out until a week after moving, a family within the clan had contracted something similar to the 2 major members that had died.
When more members began getting this mystery disease, it was decided the Rivajas would remain in the Abiding Boneyard until treatment could be found.
