Mira was born into the Sanctuary when she was found as a lone egg in the Starfall Isles by a member of the Scouts. Wowzers didn't like the idea of taking in an orphaned egg but her co-leaders insisted. Cassus became her adoptive father and later on Mira was passed to Malovat to become his apprentice.

Mira is motivated by the challenges imposed by her short memory, as well as the idea of serving a greater use for the Sanctuary.

Mira, like all Tundras, is very forgetful, which may be amplified by the fact her mind is young. She is very inquisitive about the world but in particular she likes learning about dragon anatomy and medicine. To make sure her new lessons are kept inside her head, Mira keeps a 'journal of smells', which she uses to associate certain smells with certain lessons.

Alongside being very inquisitive, many dragons describe her as hyperactive. Although she is under Malovat's apprenticeship, Mira likes to tag along with members of the Gatherers just so she can utilize her energy and explore. She also likes to play pranks on others, using her magic to do so. Many of the older dragons within the Sanctuary don't enjoy this but generally let her get away with it. The only dragon she doesn't bother is Wowzers, who she fears.

Although Mira doesn't do it often, she seems to have a knack for art. Every other page in her journal has a doodle and just about every page has a splash of color.

Mira also seems to be quite the craftsdragon, as shown in her creation of Sticks o' Memory as well as her own paints.

Mira doesn't always understand that her mannerisms may annoy others, so she sometimes ends up with enemies she did not intend to make.

Because her memory of Cassus and Malovat's teachers are held within her The Journal of Smells and Sticks o' Memory, this makes her reliant on these items. The idea of losing either makes her upset.

Mira has a knack for identifying various kinds of flora, mainly so she knows what she can and can't eat.
