A relatively pale blonde, somewhere between dirty blond and honey colored, but not quite golden. It is almost the same color as her eyes.

She prefers to wear her middle-back length hair down, and it is slightly curly. It is unruly of its own accord, but Aderyn makes little effort to tame it. She recently shaved half of her head as an act of defiance towards her father who wants her to act more like a 'proper' lady.

A pale hazel that seems to shine from within. It is similar in color to her hair.

Fae

Light, but no so light as to appear unhealthy. She has a vibrant complexion that comes as a result of the quantity of time she spends outdoors.

Her body is slender and bird-like, and she has sharp features. While she is small, she is not weak and takes pride in her physical fitness.

She has a light smattering of freckles across the bridge of her nose that disappear during the winter but come out during the summer. Her cheeks are always flushed after she has been outside, and she blushes easily when embarrassed. She has a sharply pointed noise that she likes because her father hates it.

Aderyn is constantly in motion and never seems to sit still. She would only sit still if she were perfectly content, but that is rare. She has a habit of tapping her foot when she is impatient or waiting for something. When talking to someone she looks them in the eyes. She can come off as aggressive, but that is only with people she doesn't like. With those she likes, she is relaxed and kind. Aderyn usually carries herself with confidence, but when emotionally hurt, she visibly draws into herself.

She wants to be as un-like her father as she possibly can be. She believes that she blames him for driving her mother away. However, she subconsciously fears that she was the one who drove her mother away, so she tries to prove to herself that she did not.

She is stubborn and refuses to do what is expected of her. This stems from her dislike of her father, who is always trying to shape her into a 'lady'. She is quick to anger and impulsive. When she does something without thinking and regrets it, she admits it to no one. She rarely apologizes, so when she does it should be understood that she is deeply sorry. She is impatient and can't focus on one thing for very long without losing interest.

Aderyn is not prejudiced against sprites as her family and most other fae are. However, she is so pointedly not prejudiced against sprites that she almost becomes prejudiced against the people who are.

She is very good at finding her way around the woods at her father's estate and has an amazing sense of direction. She never gets lost and always seems to find a way back to the house. She also has very sharp senses, and it is hard to sneak up on her.

Aderyn loves to run. She loves the feeling of freedom it brings and the contented exhaustion she feels afterwards. While she has never ran competitively, she is relatively fast and has lots of endurance. She also enjoys exploring the sprawling woods around her father's estate. While she is not allowed to leave the property, the woods give her a feeling of privacy. She loves being out in nature and would spend every moment outside if she could.

Aderyn is wild and rebellious. She never wants to do what she is told. She only does what is asked of her when she understands its importance. Even then she will only do it with reluctance and complaining. She enjoys going against the grain, mostly because it annoys her father.

She is also outdoorsy. She could spend an infinite amount of time in the woods. She loves the feeling of a slight chill on her cheeks, and the warmth that comes from a run in the cold morning. She truly loves nature and shows a side of herself in the woods that her family rarely gets to see. Her manner becomes much happier and relaxed; she feels like she can be herself without all the pressure to be different that she usually puts on herself. She carries an immense curiosity for the world around her, and often stops in the middle of a run or hike just to inspect a plant or animal that catches her eye.

Aderyn can't focus on any one thing for very long. She is constantly flitting from one thing to another. She has tried many hobbies, but her favorite one changes from week to week. She isn't a master of any one thing, but she is proficient at many things.

Aderyn loves her sisters, but doesn't connect with them very well. They have such different interests than her that she struggles to find things in common with them. She often gets into arguments with her sisters and would rather spend time outside with nature than with them.

Talisman Magic:
Aderyn was blessed by the Lord of the Wild with the talisman of autumn when she was born. This means that she absorbed that talisman and no longer needs a talisman to perform any magic that is not her natural ability. However, she cannot do magic that does not relate in some way to autumn.

Natural Ability:
Aderyn's natural ability is shape-shifting. It is important to note that this ability is not changing her appearance. She can turn into any other animal, but the animal she turns into will always look the same way and will always have some similarity between her forms. For instance, her eye color might be the same no matter type of animal. Additionally, while she is theoretically capable of turning into any animal, she can only actually turn into animals she has seen and is familiar with.

Aderyn is not allowed to leave her father's estate because he feels that she needs to be protected due to her position as the heir of autumn. Even though the estate is large, she still feels trapped and limited because she has never been outside of it.

Aderyn is like most other fae in the fact that she shares their high esteem of the powerful mythics that inhabit their land. While she does not worship them, she reveres them in a way that is similar to religion.

Aderyn is an advocate for sprites' rights. She is not affiliated with a particular political party and has never met another fae who shares her political beliefs.

Aderyn is the Autumno heredem, meaning Heir to Autumn. When she comes of age, she will become the Autumni reginæ, which is the Queen of Autumn. According to the tribes' tradition, she and the rulers of the other seasons will preside over the island and keep the peace among the many different groups of people.

Aderyn's favorite possession is a single, elaborate, blue earring of her mother's that she found before her father got rid of all of her mother's belongings. It is the only thing she has that belonged to her mother and is the only earring she ever wears.

Aderyn has no formal battle training, but if she did, her favorite weapon would probably be her hands or her claws and teeth, depending on what form she is in.

Aderyn loves ravens, and they seem to love her. They fly beside her as she runs in the woods, and she envies that they are free to leave the estate whenever they choose.

When she turns 15, she will become the Autumni reginæ

September 22 (Autumnal Equinox)

Aderyn has been educated in all things her father deems befitting to a 'lady'. As the youngest daughter, she would normally either be expected to marry into a wealthy family, or leave the estate and make a name for herself. However, since she is the Autumno heredem, she is destined to rule over the land. Accordingly, she has had diplomatic lessons along with dancing, reading and writing, and arithmetic. She finds all of these boring. Her father does not want his daughters to rule the land, as he does not share the tribes' beliefs. He would rather Aderyn live a normal life and puts very little effort into the diplomatic portion of her education. He only likes the fact that she is the Autumno heredem because her position gives him power with the tribes that he is forced to rule over.

When she was born, the Lord of The Wild came to her parents and blessed her with the powers of Fall. Her older sisters have the powers of Winter and Summer. She has spent most of her time on her father's sprawling estate, running and exploring the surrounding woods. When she was young, she listened from doorways as her parents argued. After one such argument, her mother stormed out of the room and saw her there. They shared some heartfelt words, and her mother said that she would always love and support her. That was the last time Aderyn ever saw her mother; she had left Aderyn's father to go back to her tribe. Aderyn grew to dislike her father, and she does everything in her power to rebel against his rules and expectations. She does not share the disdain of sprites with the rest of her family; in fact, one of her closest friends is a sprite. She loves her sisters, but feels like they don't understand her. Where they have given up all hope of being reunited with their mother, Aderyn still believes with all her heart that their mother will return to them and that she hasn't forgotten them.
