Heidi was born in a very close-knit household. When she was little, her mother and father were her closest companions and she wore a ring that her mother had given her all the time. When Heidi was twelve, a burglar came into their house and murdered her parents when they wouldn't surrender their possessions. It was a miracle that Heidi was unharmed. Soon the police arrived and put the killer in jail for the rest of his life, but Heidi was left an orphan. She then lived with her Aunt Paula and her Uncle Jim until she went to college. She devoted her life to learning science and later formulated a way to make herself invisible--but didn't share it with her fellow scientists so that she could use it to protect people instead of eventually cause people harm (imagine invisible robbers!). She worked with her friend Catherine in fighting crime with her storm abilities until a civil war between the two friends broke out and they parted ways.
