Andrew was born into a military family by accident due to a drunken night of passion and lived in many different countries. He was a very social and outgoing person and good at making many friends but found that he could never quite fully connect with them due to always moving away. This, combined with always living in a new city or country, instilled a sense of estrangement in Andrew. Due to the fact that his family was the one constant in his life, he became very connected to them and the concept of militarism. His brother, Aaron, joined the military to explore the world from a different perspective. Andrew, wanting to connect more with military life, prepared himself throughout the years. He learned how to recognize people's faces, heights, and how to copy voices. When Andrew was of age, he joined the Marines and even became the leader of his own squad. His leadership way was of the micromanager style. He felt incredibly happy to be with them, feeling as though they were another part of his family. They went on many missions together and acquired different scars. When he was 22, he and his crew were sent to acquire a dangerous weapon known as a Mechawatt, a device capable of turning into a suit that converts hydrogen into electricity. They found the weapon, only to realize that the person guarding it used it in order to fight them. Despite his newfound strength, the man was unable to defeat Andrew and his platoon. Out of desperation, he activated the self-destruct feature, causing the device to convert hydrogen at a much faster rate before exploding, killing everyone but Andrew thanks to his rubbery body. Feeling grief-stricken by the ordeal, Andrew decided not to continue on tours. However, the idea of militarism still appealed to him. His staff sergeant recommended that he join the Convocation instead. He made the choice to live in Pompano Beach, Florida since it's the first place he was born in.
