The insignia of the Astral Psychics is branded onto the top of his right hand. He wears a fitting black glove to cover it, and only wears one glove. On his right hand.
It makes him look cool... or so he thinks
He's knowledgeable in the ways of spirits, ghosts, and death, pretty easygoing, relentless, and very stubborn. He cracks lots of jokes, some of which aren't very funny. He's a bit of a slapstick comedian, and you can always count on him to break the tension with an awkward smile and a joke.

He also wants to avoid his curse, see Backstory, and still protect his friends. He feels as if everything is somehow his fault. Which it isn't, but Knox is a bit angsty and always finds a way to blame himself.
It's a bit ridiculous, to be honest.
Very stubborn, and doesn't take NO for an answer. When he wanted a dog, all he said for TWO MONTHS was 'can i get a dog'. For a whole two months. If that doesn't prove he's stubborn, I dunno WHAT does!
He can also clam up, emotionally and physically, and can be VERY uncooperative.
He thinks people who think fate is dumb, or people who think psychics are scammers - he thinks they're all loony and must be a few slices short of a loaf. QUITE a few slices short, in fact.
• He can talk to, and vaguely see ghosts, and this lets him know that Mallory is still.... un-dead.
• He can predict the future remarkably well, by looking at the stars and 'asking the cosmos', if you will. Which he does.
• He can cook really good sunny-side up eggs!
He fiddles with his gloved hand when he's nervous, and he starts spewing prophetic nonsense he's picked up from his mom when he is in danger or accused of something.

There are seven different kinds of Psychics. Astral Psychics, Crystal Psychics, Tarot Psychics, Angel Psychics, Gypsy Psychics, Akasha Psychics, and Clairvoyants. Every Psychic gets Branded at the age of eight. Knox is no exception.
When he was Branded an Astral, his mom, who already hated him ( Mom -> Esme Rivers ) kind of lost it. She went to consult her crystal ball, literally seething with anger. She'd wanted another Crystal to continue her scamming Psychic business, and she'd already hated the Astrals.
After consulting her ball, she comes back shaken. When Knox asks her what's wrong, her eyes sort of roll back and she tells Knox he will predict his own death and die knowing it was his own fault.
Obviously, this really spooked him. Knox vowed to never use his 'gift' if that would happen...
That same year, his cousin Mallory died. They were really close, and her death upset him a lot. Nothing eventful happened until he was twelve, and Abigail's Dad died.
This time Knox saw that if he'd trained in his gift and predicted their deaths, he could have told them and they could have died surrounded by loved ones. They could've changed how they died and died happy.
He thinks it's his fault because he was scared, because he didn't train. Knox is ridiculously hard on himself sometimes.
Knox is a fiddler. Knox fiddles with his hair, fingers, and pretty much anything!
