(I'm back ^^)
(Hey)
(anything you want to have happen in the night, or shall we skip to the morning?)
(Let’s skip unless there is anything you want to happen?)
(mm, nah, let's give them a chance to relax for once XD)
The morning came without incident. You woke to the muffled sounds of the boys talking in the kitchen.
I walked out still in what I slept in. “Morning” I said
"Mmph," Crash mumbled sleepily, his hair sticking up in all directions. You noticed for the first time that he had small, half-grown horns poking out just above his ears. "We were just gonna start making breakfast. But we don't know where anything is."
I slumped down on the couch. “Cereals are in the top left cupboard and bread is next to the toaster.”
Crash grunted and began rummaging around in the cupboards. Luke poured himself some water, yawning. "Sleep well?" he asked you amiably.
“yeah.” Was all I said. I hadn’t slept very well but I’d didn’t want to tell them. “You?”
He gave you a thumbs up. "That's a pretty cushy room, compared to what I'm used to. Why don't you come eat something? You must be hungry."
“I’m good, you help yourself” I stood up and found a random hair brushed and started to brush.
He watched you for a minute. "Okay, if you're sure. I'll make you up a snack for the road, then."
Crash glanced up, holding a plate full of something unidentifiable. "So, we're going to another cave today, huh? Is the prey good around there?"
“Yeah, I’ve been there a few times to store emergency supplies and there is always deer and other food. It’s quit a beautiful place really,” i stifled a yawn.
"Good. I need to hunt."
Luke rolled his eyes. "Only if it's safe, buddy. You're being hunted too, remember."
Crash made a frustrated sound. "I don't care! I'm not afraid of them, and I'm tired of hiding. I say we fight."
"Not yet. Let's get to a safer place before we decide anything major." You thought you saw Luke glance at you as he spoke. "We're all still a bit on edge and tired."
“Once you’ve eaten we’ll head off. It’s a 5 Mile treck in the caves then another 5 outside so the sooner we get the the better.” I turned around as to hid yet another yawn. “Im going to put some other pants on” I left them to eat.
You can hear Crash still grumbling, but Luke's cheerful voice easily drowns him out and the demon gives up, his fork clanking sullenly against his plate.
I changed my pants and put on a pair of sneakers and picked up my bag. It wasn’t very heavy since I didn’t need to take much with me. I made my way back to the boys
They'd just finished up and were rinsing the dishes in the sink. Luke nodded at you. "All right, are we ready?"
“I think so” I looked around “let’s go before I cry”
"Aww…" Luke draped his arm over your shoulders. "Don't worry. We'll be back here eventually. It's too nice of a place to just abandon." He waved at the others. "Let's go, we're burning daylight. Lead the way, Maddie."
I pulled away from Luke and made my way to the back of the caves where I dropped my bag and moved a boulder guarding another set of caves. “It’s a straightforward path, when you start to hear water just let me know” I let them through first as to move the boulder back and grab my bag.
Crash walked through. "I hear water."
Luke followed "You don't count, pal, your ears are too good."
I rolled my eyes and laughed slightly “if anyone BUT Crash hears water let me know”
After a few minutes, Luke called back, "Okay, I hear it too, now."
