He nodded. "Be very quick. I don't like this quiet." Turning, he slipped back into the caves.

I closed my eyes digging into my power, when they opened they were black. I scanned the area, my night vision was rusty but it was working fine. My protection bubble on the thing was stable. My eyes returned to normal and i went inside.

You found a bit of a debate going on between Luke and Crash, who wanted to go out and catch some fresh prey in the dusk. Luke wasn't keen on the idea of letting him go out where the Shadow People lurked. Crash growled that he wasn't scared of shadows. They stared at each other in annoyance, not noticing when you came in.

“I wouldn’t go out tonight Crash” I said as I leaned against a near by wall. “We can go out in the morning but not right now.”

He huffed and looked like he wanted to argue, but didn't. "Fine. I'm gonna have more stew then." He stumped off to the kitchen.
Luke smirked at his retreating back. "All clear out there?" he asked you.

I nodded and crossed my arms “I couldn’t see anything”

"That's something, at least. We might have a bit more time to prepare for whatever Blake decides to throw at us. I don't suppose you have any other safe houses we could slip away to in an emergency?"

“There’s another mountain range about 10 miles south. There’s some caves there I started to look through. There’s food and stuff but it’s a bit of a treck” I said

(sorry for the wait, internet crashed)
Luke nodded. "Then maybe we should start planning the fastest route there. Not sure how long this place is gonna stay secure."

“I agree. We can get half way there through these tunnels and they come out behind a waterfall. Then its really just a straight path there”

"Sounds good. I say we head out tomorrow, as soon as the coast looks clear. Do you need to pack anything from here?" Luke looked around at the cave. "It's a shame to leave a nice place like this."

“Yeah. I’ll do it now” i moved away and went to my room to pack. I started to sing quietly to myself. A song I heard ages ago.
“Im asking you to trust me when i say that I’m, not here for the moment, I’m in this for life” I smiled.

You heard a loud thump from the kitchen. "Nothing happened," Crash yelled distantly.
"You just love to ruin the moment, don't you," Luke called back.

I laughed. “Ok I think I’m done in here” i called

"Awesome. Maybe we should get some rest, then. Long day tomorrow." Luke leaned into the kitchen. "Hey, Twinkletoes, why don't you take first watch?"
Crash gave him the evil eye. "Sure. I'm not tired."

“Ok, Luke there’s a room just across from mine, you can stay in there. Goodnight” a moved back to my room, and put on a crop hoodie and some shorts and got into bed.

"Sleep well," he replied. You heard him enter the offered room and close the door.
(This might actually be a convenient place to pause since I have to leave for a bit)
