"No problem," he said easily. "Nobody deserves to be treated like a monster. So, are you hungry now? I have a candy bar, and Crash worked really hard to find those berries, I'm sure." Crash nodded.
"No problem," he said easily. "Nobody deserves to be treated like a monster. So, are you hungry now? I have a candy bar, and Crash worked really hard to find those berries, I'm sure." Crash nodded.
“Yeah, I’ll have a few.” i had some of the berries Crash got for me. I wasn’t too hungry so I didn’t have many. I leaned back against Luke again.
"Do you….want to talk about it?" he asked cautiously. "You don't have to. We could talk about something else if it'll make you feel better."
“No.. no it might be good to talk.” I said.
“My old town didnt like my powers sso they made a plan to get rid of me.” i started. “I was the only person in my family with magic and they all hated me. I was taken away and they experimented on me.” I lifted up my shirt to reveal a bunch of scars.
“I escaped and made my way here. I become the guardian of the forest and you pretty much know the rest.” A single tear ran down my face. “In my dreams i relive those times”
Luke's face hardened as you spoke. "That's sick. Those losers. I'm glad you managed to escape."
Crash nodded. "When I was a cub, some humans tried to catch us and kill us. They've always hated demonkind, even when we try to leave them alone." He sighed. "Some people are just plain worthless."
"At least you don't have to worry about them anymore," Luke added. "This forest seems pretty nice."
“Yeah, except it’s very lonely” I said.
Crash folded his arms. "I'll stay here, if you want."
"And I'll come visit anytime I get a chance," Luke agreed. "You're a nice person, I enjoy hanging out with you. Even when there's grumpy demons around." He winked at Crash, who huffed.
“Thanks guys I appreciate it. I never asked Luke, where do you live?”
He chuckled. "I don't live anywhere, really. I'm a stray dog, born and raised. But it's not that bad. I do people favors in exchange for food and shelter sometimes."
“Then, wh.. why don’t you stay. There is enough room and f..food.” I new he would say no but it was worth a try at least.
He looked surprised and thought it over. "Hmm….camping in the woods?….well…" He shrugged and grinned. "I don't see why not. Beats having to fight for a dry doorstep, that's for sure."
(I'm gonna have to go to bed soon, sorry)
(see you tomorrow hopefully)
(I was counting on it)
I grinned and hugged him. “Thanks you guys are the best”
(hey again sorry I was out all day)
(Yo, that's fine. ^^) Crash puffed himself up. "'Course we are. I'm the best, anyway."
Luke laughed. "If you say so. Feel better now, Maddie?"
(should Nathan have disappeared or something or do you just want him to have been wandering around)
(Up to you, I'd say.)
Nathan fought against the binds around him, the blindfold rubbing his face raw. He cried out against the gag and kicked the air in front of him, desperate to get away. This hit too close to home. He strained to see through the heavy material of blindfold, just making out the fuzzy shape of some furniture.
(Do you got it, or do you want help)
(whichever, haven't got a perfectly clear idea of where or with who he is, idm either way)
(Ok. How about that business guy you met the other night? He's certainly not what he seems)
(huh I like it. You'd bring him back?)
(Heck yeah, I've played up to ten characters at once before. This is nothing ^^; )
You heard a door open, then the sound of gentle footsteps. A familiar voice came, pleasant and cheerful. "Good morning, lad. How do you feel?" It was Mr. Blake, the man from last night.
Nathan jumped at the voice of the man. "Lonan Blake." He mumbled through his gag. "Should've known. People without agenda are never as sympathetic."
