Mila
(true maybe we should wait for her?)
(true maybe we should wait for her?)
(maybe. That might be a good idea since I have to go soon ^^)
(Sorry i was asleep, is Luke still with Maddie?)
I lay down by the lake, Luke by my side it was peaceful and i was still so tired.
(Sure, he can be. I hafta go for a walk here in a second, just so you know.) He snored a bit, but not too bad. He looked like a cat sunbathing. When he heard Nathan and Crash approaching, however, he opened his eyes and sat up. "Hey. You guys look upset."
(Ok)
I stired a little at the noise. “Luke shut it” i said and I put my arms under my head trying to sleep.
(Brb. I guess if @Mila comes back, then you guys could talk for a while ^^ )
(hey was having dinner)
"Maddie! Boy I don't know! Both of you, get up, we're leaving!" he told them.
“Nathan?” I sat up and scrambled away “Y..you are he…re” I couldn’t get the words out.
Nathan was surprised into silence for a moment at Maddie's shock, at the hope and pain shining from her eyes. He gave her a crooked grin. "Won't be able to get rid of me that easily." he answered. The grin quickly melted away when a hooded figure flitted across the grass, towards them.
"Maddie, get up." he repeated, quieter.
“Wh…why?” I asked still close to Luke. I still cant believe Nathan was here.
"Because a man wants to synthesize your," he gestured to her and Crash, "auras." he told her bluntly. "And his cronies are going to be here any minute."
I was in terror. It was happening again. I was panicked, i didnt know what to do.
Terror settled onto Maddie's face, and she froze. We don't have time for this, he thought desperately. So, without a second thought, he scooped Maddie into his arms and took off, calling Crash and the other boy to follow.
“Nathan, what.. the.. hell!” I managed to get the words out but i. Was still in shock. Crash and Luke were following behind us.
"You can't run in your state, and we need to move." Nathan panted.
I clung on for dear life, “Nathan make a right turn” i said.
He obeyed her order quickly, too tired to fight and not wanting Lillian and the safe house in danger.
“Run to the mountainside” I called it was the only other safe place i knew.
Nathan looked up to the mountains ahead and increased his pace, tightening his grip on Maddie. His years as a Mentor had paid off, and, thank the gods, he was in good shape.
“Put me down.” I said as we reached the mountain. I blasted some of my magic an dit ravelled a cave, my home. “In.” I ordered them.
Nathan set Maddie down and slowed, walking into her cave. "So this is your place." he muttered loud enough for her to hear.
“Yes, now stand back” once everyone was in, I made a blast the closed the cave. I then made a protective barrier. “see easy” i said before collapsing.
Nathan knelt down next to Maddie, propping her up against the stone wall.
"Why were you so surprised when you saw me?" he murmured to her, making sure she was stable.
‘I thought you had left.” I said quietly still drained.
Nathan pushed back the thought he had been inches away from doing just that. "Not so fast." he assured her, and let her rest. He walked over to Crash and the other boy. "So, other boy, what's your name?"
