"Yes. I won't be bothered." Marlene lies down on the couch and takes the alcohol in her hand, uncorking the bottle and holding it up under her nose. There are about two minutes of silence before her eyes flutter closed, the bottle hanging limply in her hand.
Antoine takes a breath before setting to work on her shoulder. It took a while, but he finally leaned back, done. He gently slaps her cheek. "Rise and shine, sweetheart." He says teasingly.
Marlene's eyes slowly flutter open to Antione's teasing face looking down at her. She tries to sit up, but what must be stitches sear her, almost ready snap from the strain. She leans back, regretting the decision. "How long will it hurt like this? Thanks, by the way. You do sticthes, yeah?"
"Yep. And only a little. I have Ibuprofen in the cabinet." He says, humming softly.
"It's…it's fine. How about ice cream?" Marlene struggled to sit up, gritting through the pain of her new stitches.
"Alright. Ice cream it is." He smiles a little, grabbing the bowls and serving the ice cream. "I'll get the movie started."
"Alright." Marlene settled onto the couch, vowing to keep still until she was sure there'd be no pain. "You use silver or silk thread?"
"Silk, since it was what I had available." he says, glancing at her as he started the movie.
"Ah. So we'll have to remove them later." Marlene commented, taking the bowl of ice cream and digging in. "Alright."
"Yep." He sighs softly, eating his ice cream as well.
"When'll that be? Four weeks?" The previews start to play.
"About." he answers. Antoine glances at her. "I'm just glad it was a smaller one."
"Me, too. Some of the things I've seen in those hospitals…" Marlene shuddered. "Anyway, let's watch this girl here get murdered. Oof, that sounded dark." She laughed.
Antoine laughed as well, "I find it interesting how you hate hospitals, yet I'm training to work at one." He says. "And lets."
"You are? Cool. I don't know, I just…uncomftrable."
(time skip?)
Marlene was dozing off on the couch by the time the movie was finished, tired from the reaper and the stitches. Her head was resting on a pillow and it looked like she could sleep for the night. But her stitches would be a little deformed if she lay there all night, but Antione didn't want to wake her. What to do?
Antoine sighs softly, she was going to suffer if he didn't change the stitches, but she looked so content… wait… a reaper falling for a human? How could he? He… he was falling in love…
(ahahahaaaaaaaaaa little does he know
are they ever gonna find out their identities?)
Marlene woke up with a little jerk. She glanced to Antione, who looked guilty.
"It's okay. I…don't think you woke me up." She got up off the couch with a wince. "I had better actually get in my bed." She shuffled into the other room.
Yep//
"Wait. Before you go to be I need to wrap the stitches so they don't jostle around and mess up your skin." He says softly.
(when?)
"Oh. Sorry." Marlene sat back down, she the guilty one now.
Probably soon.//
He chuckles, "It's alright."
Marlene huffed, as though tired, and her posture slumped. "How long will this take?"
(when is soon?)
Probably after they admit feelings… Drama!!//
"Just a little while." He says, "I don't have to redo the stitches, so…"
"Good." She sighed, letting his fingers work around her shoulder.
(oh yes)
