August watched the pair, eyes on the wolf that had appeared. He snapped to get Charlie’s attention before signing in quick motions. ‘Going to search around, don’t do anything to risky while I’m gone.’ He knew Charlie didn’t like him going off on his own, but he needed a moment to himself. He threw an illusion over himself, seeming to almost vanish as he stepped away from the small group, wandering in the general direction of the castle.
Gabriela sighed, making marks in the dirt with her foot. Although the thought of killing still haunted her mind, she tried to remain excited. A ball sounds pretty fun, and if that strange man is right then you won't even have to kill anyone.
Genie finally got back to the group, she leaned over on her knees panting, "Why do I keep getting left behind?"
Chakuro laughed, getting down on one knee and letting go of Charlie's body life line. He hugged the wolf, touching its fur and smiled at it, looking into its eyes. The wolf reminded him of Charlie.
"Does everything you conjure take on your personality?"
"Not always, but since they're linked to my emotions, yes." Charlie explained, making another illusion of two twin wolf pups running around and chasing one another. "But usually, I can tell when and what people are scared of, which helps me make them."

"Watch out, okay?" Charlie said before he left, her brow creasing in concern. If something happened to him, then it would be her fault.
"Does it ever…hurt when you use your powers?" Chakuro tilted his head, rippling his wings.

"Not pain, but this familiar feeling. . ." Charlie said, shaking her head faintly. Why am I telling him all of this? Could she trust him?
Kestrel-Noa finally flew back, settling on another branch. She didn’t shift back, justmlike earlier.
August wandered near a patch of trees, his illusion over himself shifting slightly as he walked. He eventually stopped a short distance away and looked around slowly. If he could hear, he could of imagined that he could hear birds and he rustling of the tree branches.
"What's it like?" Chakuro leaned in, fluttering his wings.
". . . This feeling in my bones, like something in me. It's hard to explain." Charlie sighed, her gaze pensive. "But, sometimes it doesn't feel right."
Gabby listened into their conversation, leaning her back against a tree nearby. Huh. That's weird…
"Feelings are hard to explain." Chakuro agreed, nodding his head and crouching on the ground to stare at the castle that towered above him.
"What's your power like?" Charlie asked, deciding to sit down next to him.
"I..I control people's bodies. Haven't I told you that?" he turned towards her, green eyes brightening in intensity.

"Yes, you have. What I mean is, what does it feel like to have your powers." Charlie explained, looking back at him.
"It's like… having a puppet. Except I can't feel it with my hands. It's my subconscious that's tugging at the strings, and making the puppet move how I want it to." Chakuro stared into the distance.
(Sorry, I might disappear sometimes )
Charlie nodded slowly. "And you have complete control over it?" She asked.
"Sort of. Sometimes I can't tell when I'm controlling someone or not."
"Sort of. Sometimes I can't tell when I'm controlling someone or not."
Charlie nodded her head, looking around for August. Where was he? He couldn't hear if someone comes up and tries to hurt him. Calm down. He has his illusions too.
"Are you nervous? Noa can follow just behind him," Noelle spoke up from behind them.
Chakuro's heart lept up to his throat when Charlie looked away. He calmed his beating heart and smiled at Noelle.
August eventually found a nicer, and what someone could say was quiet, place to sit. There, he made the illusion of a tabby cat and it rubbed against his legs. He could feel the vibrations of the purring, and he smiled.
"Are you nervous? Noa can follow just behind him," Noelle spoke up from behind them.
"Just worried. I don't want him to get hurt." Charlie explained as she ran a hand through her wavy hair.
"Do you want her to?" The kestrel hopped to a closer tree, waiting for Charlie's permission or lack thereof.
