Vanessa scoffed " no"

"And there's the denial." she chuckled softly and glanced up to where brink and jacklynn were

¨I´m not I´m Not In Love with brink¨ she said a little too loudly

"no, but part of you feels a tug towards him." harley grinned and winked. Brink glanced down at the street's below, wondering what his mom and vanessa were doing. He shrugged and ran after jacks as she ran ahead

Vanessa shook her head '"I've never been in love I barely even know Brink"

"Then i'd say this is a good start." she laughed and started running, "come on kitty cat, last one to wends gets the old fries!"

Vanessa's eyes widened and she ran like her life depended on it

Brink and Jacks had disappeared into an abandoned factory, knowing a secret shortcut through there while their parents kept to the streets

Vanessa have slowed her Pace down the walking after a while her eyes constantly flickering to the buildings to the sky to the ground and that's where they stayed on the ground

Jacks and brink burst through a nearby window and hit the ground running. Harley yelled out, calling them cheaters and ran after them, glancing behind her at Vanessa and encouraging her on

Vanessa was looking at her phone at the text messages her mother was so mad and she was sure she was gonna chain her to the basement

Brink fell back and quietly read the text over vanessa’s Shoulder. He flinched at the harshness “think she’ll forgive you if you bring her a Frosty and some nuggets?”

She shook her head "No. . . sometimes im afraid to go home . . . afraid if what she'll do. . I'm scared . . .and it feels like no one is there. . .no one can protect me" she said

He looked away for a moment and sighed through his nose “you can always stay with us if you don’t feel like your homework isn’t safe. No guarantees that our house is safer or saber but at least you won’t get tortured….unless Jacks starts singing.” He winked and glanced up at his big sister

" that's sweet of you really but o could never do that to you I'm not your responsibility" she said

He shrugged “I’m sure mom, dad, and jacks wouldn’t mind. But if you don’t want to stay, that’s fine. But know there’s always a room for you in case you do need one.”

" Thank you" she said thankfully

Brink nodded as they came up to a seemingly empty Wendy’s. “No problem.”

Vanessa smiled gently and followed after him

They stormed the fast food restaurant, licking everybody out until no one was left “Alright! Free for all!!!!”

Vanessa sat on the counter then laid down on looking up at the lights

Brink and Jacks raided the nuggets while their parents raided everything. the sibling's come back and sat near Vanessa on the ground. "french fry?" brink asked, handing one up to Ness

Vanessa smiled softly taking the fry he offered her after sitting up and bit the end.
