The teacher greeted the students and began writing something on the blackboard. (Idk what class we're in so what are we learning today?)

(The Duel between Alexander Hamilton and Aaron Burr..?)
(Yesssss and some person of the Hamilfam could just start rapping Aaron Burr, Sir. I know all the words)
The teacher started to describe the duel between Alexander Hamilton and Aaron Burr, and Lloyd scribbled down notes as he listened. Even though he wasn't told to take notes, it helped him remember things better.
(DAMN IM SO LATE IDK WHERE TO COME IN)
(Just go to class I guess?)
Veda walked into her class late, and the teacher glared for a moment before she took a set towards the back. She leaned back in the chair, crossing one leg over the other.
(highkey gonna b in your clASS SORRY)
Rai continued on her day, the same things as usual: teachers repeating words that meant nothing, people jacking around, and her, sitting with people she didn't care about. The pink-haired girl from the coffee shop had walked in late. Veda, was it? Rai started preparing in her head to say a greeting to her.
Lloyd was glad none of the jocks from before were in any of his classes. It was to be expected, of course, with him being in the AP classes and the jocks not caring at all about anything but football. Or basketball… Lloyd couldn't remember which they played. Either way, he was thankful they weren't here.
Kenzie listened intently to the lecture on Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet, scribbling down notes for acting techniques of the characters and for writing her own book or play.
(Lmao it’s all good.)
Veda glanced around, then noticed the girl from the coffee shop this morning. She gave her a small wave and tapped her nails on the desk. She wrote for a moment in her notebook, then tore off a piece of the page and slid it to Rai. The note read, ‘I didn’t know you went to this school.’
As much as Lloyd liked school, he was getting a bit bored. He had never really enjoyed history class, since he didn't think it would be helpful for him to know in the long wrong. He blew a strand of hair out of his face and continued copying notes off the board.
To her surprise, Veda had recognized Rai. A piece of paper landed on her desk, reading: 'I didn't know you went to this school.' Rai smiled and flipped over the note. When the teacher wasn't looking, she quickly scribbled out: 'I transferred to this class last semester! That's why you never saw me."
Brair opened up to a fresh page in her notebook and started to doodle a portrait of Hamilton and Burr (their actor portrayals) about to face off.
Veda read the note, her lips twitching to form a faint smile. She wrote back, ‘that, and the fact that in new here may be a big factor as well.’ She slipped the note back to Rai and scribbled a few notes into her notebook.
Rai was taken aback from the message. New? She knew what it felt like to be in a new school - anxious and uncertain. Rai put down, 'Really? Why did you move here?"
Veda read the note, then wrote back, ‘I guess you could say that. I sort of ran off, needed an adventure in my life.’ She gave it back to Rai. She was obviously someone who was very open, as she had told someone that she had just run away from her home so casually.
Lloyd closed his notebook quietly and set his pencil down. The class was almost over, and the teacher had given them some free time since she finished early. He pulled a science textbook out of his bag and started to read it as though it were perfectly normal.
(Sorry guys, I'm really late but I think I'm all caught up now XD)
Eve sat in class, the bell about to ring, as she doodled in her sketch book. Keeping an eye on the clock, she made sure to show her art teacher her work before packing up and pulling out her phone.
'Haha, if you consider school an adventure,' Rai attempts to write smaller, as they were running out of room. She didn't think much of the runaway aspect, most families were unfair anyways. Excitedly, she hands back the note and watches Veda's response.
Lloyd had read this textbook before, since it was one of his favorites. He knew he was a nerd for enjoying this kind of thing, but he didn't really care. He flipped the page to a new chapter. Page 127, the start of Chemistry. His eyes darted across the page, hardly needing to take in the information to understand it since he had read it so many times. Someone dropped a book next to him, and he jumped a bit, startled by the sudden noise.
(.. I’m going to toss a P R E T T Y familiar human in this. This is for you Hamilfans. I think I have the right.)
“Ay-YO-YO-YO-YO-YO! WHAT TIME IS IT?!” The door was suddenly flung open by some tall, curly haired kid, who was covered in freckles.
(You’re welcome in advance.)
Veda read the note and smiled softly. She wrote back, ‘New area, new people, of course it’s an adventure!’ She passed the note back to Rai, and went back to listening to the teacher drone on about mathematics.
Eve sat in class on her phone scrolling through Instagram as she waited for the bell to ring. Looking up she saw that there was only a few minutes left in class.
Lloyd looked up at the freckled kid for a moment before turning back to his book. He encountered strange people all the time, so the kid bursting in really wasn't that uncommon.
She nodded her head, understanding why a new school could seem adventure-y. There was only enough room for one more message, Rai thought, so she had to make it count. With the end of the period nearing, Rai rapidly wrote down her number. 'Let's call sometime!' She hoped it wasn't too soon to be friends, and nervously handed the paper back.
