(Wait you're reading fanfic…)
(Dear lord I need attention)
(And so has an entire council of demon boys but we don't talk about them)
(I will give you poorly written demon boy princes if you give me attention)
Cooper walked out without another word. "You're lucky I love you," he mumbled as he walked down the hallway.
"I could kill that guy," Ryan mumbled in his sleep.
Belle stayed asleep, unable to respond to her husband's half threat
(We should skip some shit? Morning?)
(I will give you poorly written demon boy princes if you give me attention)
(I mean, they're no Lucifer and Mammon Avatars of Pride and Greed respectfully but I'll take it)
(We should skip some shit? Morning?)
(Definitely)
Ryan burst out of his chair panting, the same dream he had every night causing him to wake up this way for the past month. But, for the first time, he calmed down immediately when he realized he was still holding his son.
Belle was still asleep, cuddling her daughter in her arms. The two really did look alike.
A nurse entered the room asking for one last check on the mother and babies before they could be released. Ryan walked over to Belle and kissed her forehead, "Belle, wake up," He whispered.
She groaned sleepily, pushing her face into the hospital pillow to try and avoid the inevitable.
"You can sleep when we go home," He laughed as he took Delilah from her arms so the nurse could look them over.
Her eyes flickered open when Delilah was taken from her, a soft whimpers leaving her lips.
The nurse wasted no time checking the kids over. Ryan was not a fan of other people holding his kids but he understood it was necessary and he really just wanted to go home.
"How are you feeling this morning?" the nurse returned the twins to Ryan and walked over to Belle.
"I'm alright. Really wanna go back to sleep but other than that, I'm good." She chuckled sleepily, rubbing her eyes.
(I had class. So there's my absence explained.)
Lillian hummed and nodded, "Yeah. Cooper and Ryan won't kill each other right?"
"They'll be fine. Cooper's right, Belle would never let Ryan hurt him. There's a lot of unresolved feelings there,"
"Okay, then let's head home," Lillian replied after a moment.
"I'm alright. Really wanna go back to sleep but other than that, I'm good." She chuckled sleepily, rubbing her eyes.
"Everything looks good, you are free to leave. Your husband has already filled out the release paperwork. If there are any complications, feel free to come into the ER or urgent care,"
Ryan was already walking out the door with the babies and the bag they packed. He was very ready to not be here.
"Of course, thank you so much." She followed Ryan out of the hospital, clinging to his arm.
Ryan was in almost as much of a rush to get home as he was to get to the hospital yesterday. He made sure everyone was secured in the car and sped home. When he pulled into the driveway, he just sat there staring blankly at the steering wheel.
