(Yeah lol. true true)
"I'm not sure why they won't let you go with but they probably have their reasons." Darren guided Ryan to a chair. "Let's just wait okay?" Darren almost had PTSD in this waiting room, all the treatments, surgeries, worries, it was overwhelming.
Ryan sighed and fell back into his chair. "Yeah… wait,"
After about an hour, a doctor came by to get Ryan and bring him up to Belle's room. She was doing okay but was struggling with the pain which was normal because childbirth.
Lol…
Ryan basically ran the nurse over trying to get to Belle. He stood by her side and took her hand. "I'm here, Belle,"
Darren looked over at Lillian… "I guess we just sit here? and wait?" he looked around the hospital waiting room, "Doesn't this place make you uncomfortable now with everything that's happened?"
Belle gratefully took her husband's hand, letting out a shaking breath. "I thought I had a higher pain tolerance than this but clearly I was wrong." She laughed breathlessly before wincing with a hiss as a new contraction started.
"I know this is hard, just try to breathe," a calm wave fell over Ryan, he felt better being here with her and he knew he had to be there for her.
"Yeah," Lillian said after a moment. She honestly found it hard to even speak while here considering how many times she had been both out here waiting and the one in the room being waited on. Stupid depression, stupid abuse, stupid suicidal thoughts.
Darren reached for Lillian's hand. "Today we're here for a good reason though, right? Our friends are having babies,"
"I know this is hard, just try to breathe," a calm wave fell over Ryan, he felt better being here with her and he knew he had to be there for her.
"I know, I know, I'm trying." She pushed when she had to, having to constantly remind herself how to breathe through the insistently mounting pain.
Lillian squeezed his hand and nodded not being able to bring herself to speak. She leaned up against Darren trying to take up all of his warmth after he had been gone for so long.
"I know, I know, I'm trying." She pushed when she had to, having to constantly remind herself how to breathe through the insistently mounting pain.
She was squeezing Ryan's hand so hard, his face turned bright red but he didn't say anything at all. It seemed selfish to complain about pain to someone who's literally giving birth.
Lillian squeezed his hand and nodded not being able to bring herself to speak. She leaned up against Darren trying to take up all of his warmth after he had been gone for so long.
"We have time. We should talk. How were you… mentally… while I was gone?" He knew things must've been very difficult for her.
(Should we skip? I don't know how childbirth works other than pushing and a hell of a lot of pain but I want Dallien to have their time)
The doctors kept a constant eye on the vitals, everyone in the room having small heart attacks when they would suddenly drop but everything was fine.
(Go ahead and skip)
"It's going to be okay," Ryan kissed Belle's forehead gently.
(Fine then!)
After 12 continuous hours of pain and pushing, Belle laid on her hospital bed with two wrapped up bundles in her arms. She was honestly exhausted but now she had her children. Her children. It sounded so weird.
The sound of the babies crying brought tears to Ryan's tired eyes as he peered over Belle to look at them.
She looked up at her husband, offering him the pink wrapped bundle. "Go on. Hold your daughter. She's kinda heavy." She laughed weakly.
Lillian squeezed his hand and nodded not being able to bring herself to speak. She leaned up against Darren trying to take up all of his warmth after he had been gone for so long.

"I," Lillian hesitated for a moment. She didn't want admit how poorly she had taken it, how her arms had almost constantly been covered in little red lines for weeks after he left. How her thoughts had been flooded with the idea that she had been the reason he left. How badly she had wanted to take her own life on so many occasions. But she couldn't lie to him, so she simply said, "Bad."
"My daughter?" Ryan said quietly as he took the baby into his arms. He held her awkwardly and stared into her eyes. "wow," he whispered.
Belle continued to snuggle the blue bundle of joy in her arms, more exhausted than she had been in her life. "He looks just like you."

The nurse called Darren and Lillian back into Belle's room. "We'll pick this up later," Darren never let go of her hand. On the way in, Cooper passed them, fast walking toward Belle's room.
Lillian nodded and followed after Darren. Later, or never would be nice, but for now they had babies to see.

"She looks like you," Ryan couldn't take his eyes off of his daughter, he didn't even see Cooper, Darren, and Lillian come in, "She's gorgeous,"
Lillian nodded and followed after Darren. Later, or never would be nice, but for now they had babies to see.
Darren stood against the wall by the door, away from the action but Cooper stood on the other side of Belle. Darren could feel his stomach turn, "He better not try to pull anything,"
Belle flashed a smile at their new guests, pulling her attention away from her child. "Hey guys. Glad to see you could make it."
Lillian stuck next to Darren as she eyed Cooper, "He wouldn't, at least I hope not."
