Lillian spotted Bal and stared back at him, "Yeah. Hey Balthazar."
The demon began to pick at his fingers, "Sorry, I woke you," He sounded surprisingly unapologetic.
"You didn't, it's fine," Lillian responded. She never knew how to talk to the demon.
"You know, you're the only human I tolerate," He began walking over by her. "I don't care much for humans at all but it seems my.. other half has grown fond of you,"
"Indeed he does," Lillian said sitting up completely on the couch, "I'm, um, glad you tolerate me."
She waved him off, never taking her attention away from her babies. "Don't die, I'll be here. I love you."
He basically disappeared from where he was standing when he ran to the basement as fast as he could. He stared at the chains on the floor. They were attached deep into the cement, there was no way he could pull them out but he was worried Convel would be able to. How long could he be down here before Belle began to wonder what he was up to. He hoped the babies would be enough of a distraction.
She was fully focused on keeping her kids quiet and asleep, a gentle smile gracing her lips. Was she worried about Ryan? Of course she was. But that wasn't at the front of her mind right now.
He took a seat next to her, "I have tried my best to be kind to you in the past. I myself have grown fond of you. Which is why I am sorry,"

He couldn't be here when it happened, he shouldn't be here at all. He didn't want to hurt his family. Whatever was calling to Convel was getting too strong for Ryan to hold back. He ran up the stairs and tried his best to sneak behind Belle to get out the door, pausing for only a moment and his wife and children.
Lillian felt her eyebrow raise ever so slightly. She was shocked that Bal would say that and her voice came out a little broken, "What? Why?"
"I'm not sure when the next time you will be seeing your human isβ¦" He had been good about observing Darren and picking up on human emotions but he struggled with empathy. He couldn't bring himself to actually feel sorry.
"Oh," Lillian replied her voice tapering off. She, she was fine with that right? Bal was here and that meant Darren was at least around. She wasn't alone again. She wasn't alone again.
"He can hear you, if you needed to talk to him. He can hear and I can tell you what he says but I'm afraid he'll be trapped." Something called Balthazar out. He wasn't sure what but he was sure he had to find Shaxx. Cooper's demon always got into more trouble and if Bal was called out, he was sure Shaxx would be too.
(Imma head out. See you later tonight hopefully)
(Okay. See ya later!)
"Oh, that's, that's good," Lillian stuttered out. She really didn't know what to do in this situation, but at least she knew she wasn't in danger, "Do, do you know how long he's, he's trapped?"

Belle was slowly rocking the twins in their crib, humming a soft lullaby. She was completely enamored, enjoying every second of being a new mother.
(I'm here)

"Until I say he's done," The smile fell off of Bal's face and he shook his head, clearly in distress. He didn't want to admit that something was going on.

Ryan sighed in relief and snuck out the door. He wasn't sure where he'd go but he knew he needed to get away from here. He couldn't, he wouldn't, hurt his family. He started running through the woods as fast as his feet could take him, he would run until he felt like he was lost and then he'd know they were safe from him.
"Got it," Lillian was a little wary of his choice of words, but figured it was fine. It had to be fine.
Belle had her worries. She knew that something was up with him. She knew that she should be more attentive to her husband's lack of control but she just couldn't. What was more important? Her husband or her hours old children?
Ryan felt awful for leaving them but he knew what he had to do. He had no idea where he was but he knew he was far away from his home, definitely out of town. Finally, he allowed Convel to take over his mind and with it, came his body.

Bal stood up quickly, "Where is Shaxx?"

Belle continued to look after her children, finally looking up only to find Ryan missing. She shrugged it off, trying not to let the sudden knot of worry in her stomach overtake her.
