"Darren is foolish, he picked you over the Brotherhood. I do not understand why he would risk the lives of these people and ostracize us no less, just for a human woman," Bal didn't mean to make Lillian upset, "The brotherhood will punish me if they find out I am here."
(Yikes man, you gotta learn how to read a clock)
Lillian bit her lip at his comment. That comment, really fucking hurt, but she would hold in her tears and wrap up her pain like she always did, "Then let's go."
(Nah man you've got the problems. It's clearly 11:50)
"Shaxx keeps my location a secret because he cares for me… Cooper cares for Darren in that same way. I do not know why the Brotherhood is gathered here, but something is calling us out. Something more powerful that I care to admit, Darren has asked me to take you somewhere away from here and keep you safe,"
Lillian felt her lip twitch up slightly at his last sentence though she quickly quelled it. She glanced at where the other demons were and then back to Bal and she couldn't keep the affection out of her voice, "Of course he did."
"You disgust me," he groaned as he began walking as quietly as possible down the stairs. He pretended like he didn't understand love, he acted as though it was something only humans could experience because he never wanted to relive the things he had felt. If it didn't exist, it could never hurt.
(So, I'm not super tired and I know it's late so if at any point you need sleep, let minnow)
Lillian pretended like that comment didn't hurt coming from what was essentially Darren's other half. She assumed it was in good fun, ar least she hoped so. At the very least she followed after Bal trying not to trip or fall.
(Like, I'm not that tired either. And my roommate isn't here??? So I'ma be here for a while lol.)
Balthazar had a general distaste for all humans, he thought they were just as physically weak as they were weak-minded. Lillian was hardly an exception to that yet she may be the only human he didn't hate. He feels what Darren feel whether he wants to or not. "Hold on tight, teleporting seems easier,"
"Okay," Lillian moved closer to Bal. She was honestly glad that they weren't walking in the dark building for any longer.
In a split second, their surroundings changed from a midnight street to a well lit concrete room. It had a musty smell to it and it was cold. There were no windows or doors and the walls were lines with metal cabinets. There was one in the corner. "home sweet home," Bal took his black robe off and threw it on the bed.
Lillian glanced around the room. It felt more like a prison then a home, but who was she to judge where a demon wanted to live, "Nice place you got here."
"I do not live here," Bal smiled as he opened one of the metal cabinets and set a dagger from his boot on a rack. The cabinet was filled with different kinds of weapons. "Darren does,"
Lillian hesitated hearing that word. She took a deep breath and looked around again, "When? I've never been here before."
(going to the bathroom with the lights off is always an interesting challenge but it's fine… we made it)
"It's a safehouse, it's underground and because the only way in or out is to know the exact location and then to teleport, he stayed here for a long time to protect himself from the brotherhood," Bal flopped down on the bed, "He said we could trust you. No one else can know about this,"
(…I have questions. But I will keep them to myself.)
(I mean, ask away. It was pretty open to questions lol. There are people sleeping and I didn't wanna turn any lights on)
"I won't tell a soul," Lillian felt her lips twitch into a slight smile again. She started to hug herself as she leaned against the wall of the room, bunker thing. Her hands faintly ran over the neat scars on her arms and she immediately moved them to stop herself from doing anything stupid.
