Jackie took John's suggestion and they hung out more. Not anything sexy, just spending more time together discussing life. Jackie could see significant progress in the house as they got it prepared. The 6th month was a fabulous "break month" Jackie had fully settled in with John and the house was almost ready. They decided to name the baby girl, Rose. It was an elegant and unique name and the two of them we so proud of it. One night in the middle of the 6th month, John proposed to Jackie. Jackie accepted happily and they began to plan for the wedding as well.
(I can change it if you want. I'm assuming that's what he was hinting at with the step forward.)
(Ahaha , it's fine and I will see ya tomorrow)
John was pleased at Jackie saying yes to his proposal, but he said not to worry about the wedding date or anything of that matter. The baby was to come first, he didn't want to overwhelm Jackie with something as big as that. Upon finally deciding the name of their little girl John goes all out with little rose decorations and more. He felt so close to Jackie and that humbled him. He wished his mother could have met Jackie, he was confidant that they might have gotten along wonderfully. As the month progressed in the 7th of her pregnancy John began to worry slightly over Jackies health and the baby despite protests from her about being just a tad bit overwhelmed and that she was perfectly fine
(Alrighty)
The 7th month was pretty busy. A baby shower was held as well as the gender reveals to close friends. Jackie was feeling just slightly overwhelmed but very proud of what she and John had accomplished. It was amazing what one could do when they worked with passion. She constantly wondered what the baby would look like. Would it have Jackie's bright red hair? John's green eyes? She was sure but she knew she would be beautiful.
(Morning! And lol…Johns eyes are colored green)
John had fun at the baby shower meeting all of Jackies friends. John laughed and was proud of the reaction when revealing that the baby was a little girl. The entire time during the baby shower John kept a close eye on Jackie. He was constantly throwing out ideas to jackie on what the baby girl might look like and drawing them to show Jackie. John was extra careful when he asked to "listen" to his baby girl, he even bought some little books and read to her every night. He constantly complimented Jackie and confided in her telling Jackie that he was excited and can't wait for their baby girl to be born yet
(Oh lol one sec. Fixed it.)
As the 8th month approached, they got more tests and Jackie started to get a little nervous. She had been working at the journalism job John got her and was doing very well. She loved the little drawings John did and couldn't wait for their baby girl to be born. The time for her to be born was coming quickly. Jackie could tell John was just as excited and nervous as she was and they both worked to make the other less stressed.
(Sorry, class work took a bit)
John knew as the 8th to 9th month approached that Jackie was close to giving birth to their daughter. So to prepare John took classes and read up on all he could to make sure this would go smoother. John went out of his way to reassure Jackie that everything will be fine and that their daughter would turn out to be beautiful. John then started to prepare their home with safety devices to insure that his little rose won't hurt herself. John also asked constantly about Jackies job, for he really liked hearing her tell of the many stories she got to cover. He was now prepared and ready for their child and taking care of Jackie. Prepared to be a family man and he knew he would love it
(sorry I had school work)
The 9th month was a rush of preparation and excitement. It was September and the leaves were just starting to change. Almost everything was ready but they were both on edge. In theory, Rose could be born at any time. Jackie and John could no longer hide their nervousness and rushed around the house getting things ready. At the end of the month, Jackie told her boss she would take the month off.
(It's fine )
John was happy at the change of weather, for he always loved to watch the colors of the leaves change. He had already packed a back of essentials for Jackie when she would start to feel like she was going to give birth. John was proud of how well Jackie was handling herself with the imminent arrival of contractions and such. John every few hours subtly checked on Jackie making sure that she was okay. He now "talked" to the baby more then ever telling her that he couldn't wait to see her pretty little face. Now all he had to do was wait for the big day to arrive
The final month. October came swiftly and one night at around 7:00 pm, Jackie's water broke. October 21st. Jackie breathed and John rushed her to the hospital. The pain was unbelievable and through it all Jackie squeezed John's hand. Of course, the pain meds helped a lot. After about an hour in labor Rose was born.
"John…" Jackie said breathlessly as the baby was born. "John."
John smiled and a feeling like any other blossomed in his chest as he heard their little girl cry for the first time. He then squeezed Jackies hand slightly and murmured softly in a voice thick with emotion "It's okay baby…you did so good! I am so proud of you Jackie….Our little Rose is beautiful"
"Yes. She is." The doctor handed Rose into Jackie's arms. "Congratulations."
"Thank you sir." Jackie smiled down at beautiful being she and John had created. "We did it John."
John ignores the doctor completely as he gazed at Jackie holding their beautiful daughter in her arms. He was at a loss of words for the situation "Yes…jesus…We did it! Look out little baby girl.." John reaches out and touches his little girls face an awed expression written on his face. He mentally vowed that he would do anything for his little girl and the most beautiful woman he had ever met. John was glad to have been blessed like this
Jackie smiled up at John. "Here's your papa, Rose." She said in a song songy voice as she handed the delicate baby up to John. "There we go." She whispers.
John tentatively holds little rose then laughs softly at Jackies sing song chirpiness when she spoke "How are you feeling Jackie?" John starts to rock little rose in his arms gently when he spoke already feeling his tiredness after staying up for so long "I love you so much…"
"I love you too." Jackie responded, entranced by the young squirming baby. "I'm feeling better. Kind of tired." Jackie said, closing her eyes as she lay back.
John nods as he looked up from the baby to look at Jackie "Get some rest love…I'll take care of everything for you" John grumble softly when a nurse came in to take the baby, but he willingly gave her over after a long minute. And while Jackie rested John sat in a chair on one side of the room feeling like he was on top of the world
"I will." Jackie fell asleep. John's hand held gently in her own.
John smiles twining his fingers gently with hers as he feel asleep listening to Jackies gentle breathing. He dreamed of his their little daughter which made him smile in his sleep as well
The next morning Jackie awoke and remembered what had happened the night before. John wasn't there anymore and the baby was still in care. She called the nurse over. "May I see my little girl?"
John was at work trying hard to get things done faster so he could be back at the hospital to see Jackie and his little rose. John was mildly irritated with his employees and was trying to make this go smooth despite his urgency
A nod from the nurse, a minute of waiting and then the little baby was in her arms again. Jackie smiled as Rose's tiny fingers wrapped around pinky, grasping for anything as her eyes learned to open. She was a very healthy baby with rosy young cheeks and though you could barely seem them at first, bright green eyes. Rose cried a little but was quickly silenced as Jackie sang her a lullaby.
John then rests his head against his desk feeling like he might go cross eyed the longer he might have to look at more stock reports and check-ins from his clients. John itched to know how his baby was doing and Jackie as well
Jackie day was slow and peaceful. The doctors did a couple tests on her and the baby to make sure they were doing alright and if everything was good. Everything was good. Jackie could not be more proud of Rose. She could not have been more proud of John.
