Fae turned her head to look at him with large, worried eyes. "Breathe.", she said gently leaning back to give him some space. "Focus on either me or the horizon, and just breathe. You're safe. You're not going to fall."
Fae turned her head to look at him with large, worried eyes. "Breathe.", she said gently leaning back to give him some space. "Focus on either me or the horizon, and just breathe. You're safe. You're not going to fall."
So he glued his chocolate eyes on her, opening his mouth to draw measured breaths.
"There we go. Relax.", she said softly, struggling not to get lost in his eyes. "Now, if you can, look out to the North. Look, you can see Canada right over there. And the falls…."
He turned his gaze over. "Not as good as Spain," he half laughed. The illuminated ribbon of the horizon reflected in his eyes.
Fae laughed. "I've neveer been. What's it like?"
"I— colorful." He replied, finding all his saliva disappeared, leaving his mouth parched when he looked back at her.
Fae's internal radar was picking up on something in Cruz's demeanor that she couldn't quite identify. "Ever been to Canada?" They were almost at the top now.
"No," he answered back dryly, finding the movement of her lips an oddly satisfying and aesthetic thing to watch. The way they formed her voice— like clay— "But maybe someday we can,"
Fae's heart fluttered weakly as she practically melted on the spot at the sight of his eyes, those eyes. Her head and heart were spinnong out of control, she didn't know what to feel, what do do, she blushed red, opened her mouth to speak, but her hand slipped and she fell forward into his chest.
(I was listening to Satisfied from Hamilton while writing this so the rhythem of teh words kind of sounds like it could almost be a rap)
Sabine gazed down at the city below them, lost in thought. She looked at Macha. "So…………..how do you know Fae??"
He laughed weakly, warmly, "Fae," Cruz humored, bringing his arms to support and envelope her. "Mírame," he spoke in a murmured Spanish look at me. His hands helped her head tilt to face his own.
Fae’s heart was beating a thousand times per second as her face flushed pink and every single thought in her head was washed out by a powerful torrent of love and want. Cupping Cruz’s face in her hands, already lost in his chocolate swirled eyes, she leaned in close and pressed her pink lips against his impossibly soft ones.
Macia smiled, remembering. “A few years ago, I had just been adopted, and we were in the same class at school when I moved in the middle of the year.”, she replied.
Sabine smiled. "Sounds nice."
It seemed to come so naturally to him as well, resting his hands loosely on her wrists and letting his eyelids fall shut. The sensation was like fire, powerful and burning in his opinion. But like a fireplace or a candle, had potential for sweet, ambient serenity. And both was just fine for him.
Far could feel something glowing to life inside her as she leaned into the kiss, infinitely sweet and long overdue, fracturedly wondering if Cruz could taste her lipgloss. She leaned into the kiss, one hand buried in his tousled locks, finally pulling away, regrettably, for a breath of the crisp March air. Just then, the Ferris wheel reached its peak, and she smiled breathlessly, leaning in again.
Sabine looked down. Wow. That's a long way down. I wonder if this is what Dani feels like when she's flying.
Cruz's eyes were particularly wide when the two separated mouths, both stunned, confused and dazzled. That was… certainly something. His heart was still pounding.
He supposed heights weren't so bad anymore.
A man looked up at Sabine, then quickly looked away and started walking hurriedly into the crowd. She only caught a glimpse of his face, but she'd recognize those mismatched black and blue eyes anywhere. She gasped. "I need to get off!!" She exclaimed.
Matcha blinked. “You need to wait until we get back down, it won’t take too long,”, she said, confused.
Fae’s heart fluttered as the pink subsided from most of her face, settling in her cheeks only. Flustered, she averted her yes, one hand on her chest as if to slow down her rapid heartbeats. “Um, I—- sorry.”, she stammered, a strange sort of elation bubbling up in her, making her dizzy with happiness. Wow., she thought, lips tingling.
His own words weren't so steady themselves, "No, it's… that's fine," he laughed lightly, effervescently.
A giggle rose up inside of her, which she promptly smothered. Almost against her better judgement, she reached out, slipping her hand into his.
Cruz didn't mind holding her hand, the edge of his lips softened in a mellow, affectionate grin.
Sabine was on the verge of freaking out. Breathe. Just thirty more seconds. Relax.
Fae’s mind swirl3d with internal conflict as she gazed out to the whole city. You just met the guy, Fae, you can’t just date him, he’s too old for you anyways.
