(@Lil-Owl yessssssssssssssss they're gonna text!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)
(For Fae, it's 6:30 right now, so I'll have to wait a bit until she receives the text.)
(just pretend spray-on temporary hair dye that comes out after three showers exists, k?)
Setting her outfit down, Fae made her bed, brushed her teeth, and had a quick, ten-minute shower, drying her hair afterwards just enough so that it was still damp. She then took out a cylindrical pink spray bottle (Rainbow Dye - the spray-on temporary hair dye for you!), making sure she'd followed the instructions so far, and with an old, misused towel wrapped around her, she carefully sprayed the pale pink dye –almost the same color as the pink on her blouse– onto her hair, turning it a light, Easter-y shade of pink that would be washed out by the end of the week. Satisfied, Fae blow-dried her hair, fluffing it a bit, and slipped into her room to get into her plain baking clothes, the ones that she wasn't afraid to get dirty. She would change when she was done helping out in the bakery. Pascal's birthday today!, she thought, picturing the little green dragon as she ran downstairs, her watch reading 7:08.
"Morning, sweet-pea!", her mother greeted her. "Your father's just getting dressed, grab some breakfast and come help me with this cake. Very pretty hair, by the way"
Almost an hour later, every flat surface in the bakery's kitchen had been completely covered with numerous fresh-baked Easter treats. Fae took out the special vanilla cupcake with a miniature cotton candy nest filled with little chocolate eggs, and put it on a miniature platter, carrying it up the stairs to her room. Waiting outside the door for her as planned were Grace, Zoe, and Milo, three of her dragons. When they saw her, the each did a special knock on the door, listening to make sure that the dragons positioned behind it had heard, and a second later someone from inside knock back. Fae entered, singing "Happy Birthday to you, happy birthday to you.." The rest of the dragons (19 of them) hummed along excitedly, each giving a cutesy little hug to the sweet, tiny dragon sitting on Fae's carpet, eyes shining happily. "Happy Birthday Pascal!", Fae grinned, setting the cupcake in front of the small green dragon with little lilac horns.
After that was finished, Fae got into her Easter outfit, slipping on a white fabric headband as an afterthought, not wanting to admit to herself that she was trying to look pretty for… Cruz. Pathetic., she said to herself, checking her reflection in the mirror and running back down to help out in the bakery.
An hour later, at around 9:00, Fae was excused to her room, and felt her phone buzz in her front pocket. Pulling it out and resting against the headboard of her bed, she saw with a burst of pleasure and excitement that it was from Cruz.
Happy Easter!, she texted back quickly. You woke up early today!, she teased.
