(could we please do a just bit of it? I want Macha to meet Cruz, but only briefly, I promise)
(I'm going to be out for the next hour or so, but when I get back, I'll just write a quick post about her visit to her Gran :)

Fae waved to him, thanking Irma and slipping off her coat as she walked into the cool stairwell.

Walking as quick as she could with all her bags, Fae finally entered the designated hallway. Floor seven was pleasantly decorated with walls done in pretty pastel shades and many windows overlooking the city, with paintings and pictures hung up on the walls. "Hello?", she called, immediately hearing a squeal from room 9 as a small blonde girl sped out, arms spread wide for a hug. Fae dropped all her bags (carefully) and crouched down, arms open and a huge smile on her face. "Fiona!!", she exclaimed. The little seven year old bowled into her, knocking her to the ground. "You were gone for ages!", Fiona screamed in delight, a slight lisp hinging onto her consonants. "Good to see you too, Angel!", Fae giggled, ruffling Fiona's golden blond hair and struggling to get up, when she felt someone rush onto her again, knocking her back to the ground. "Fae!!", Aiyana, the 8 year old First Nations girl yelled, hugging her violently. "Yana!", Fae laughed, hugging the little girl back and finally getting up into sitting position. "Where's your cast?", she asked, still laughing as she noted that her arm was bare. "I'm all better now!!!", Aiyana grinned, exposing the gaps where her two front teeth should be. "AND THE FAMILY SAID YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!", Fiona cut in, jumping up and down. "YAN-YAN'S GETTING ADOPTED NEXT WEEK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!", she screamed at the top of her lungs, tackling her best friend to the ground. "That's amazing, Yana!!", Fae squeezed the little girl tight, planting a kiss on the top of her head. Just then, the nurse Isa poked her head out of a nearby doorway. "What's all the ruckus?", she asked. "Fae! How was your week?" Isa exclaimed, noticing Fae and coming over to collect the girls. She and Fae exchanged pleasantries, Isa's little green dragon (courtesy of Fae) Gwen perched on her shoulder. "Did you bring us anything?!" Fiona asked, excited. "I may or may not have brought you all lollipops!", Fae tapped her nose teasingly.

Fiona screamed "CANDY?!?!?!?!?!" The door to room 14 opened, and a 10 year-old boy peeked out. "Stop yelling, Fio—" He spotted Fae. "Fae!" He ran towards her, "Spyro!", she greeted him happily, hugging him tightly. "How are you holding up?", she asked, the broadest smile possible stuck fast to her face. "I'm getting my leever emplanter tomorrow!", Spyro yelled. "You mean your liver implant?", Fae giggled, bringing out the lollipops form her handbag. All three kids fell upon her, squealing loudly and jumping up and down. Fae handed them out, letting her dragons out as well, Leum going with Spyro, Smudge flapping happily after the girls, and Grace gliding up to join Gwen, who (like her) stood on two feet. Fae payed a quick visit to the rest of the patients, Valentina, the 16 year-old Latina girl who had been abused and molested by her uncle to the point of hospitalization, Amitav, the 13 year-old Indian boy who had lost both his legs in a freak roller-coaster accident, Mira and Zoe, the 11 year-old conjoined twins who had almost been literally torn apart a few months ago by a psychotic kidnapper, and Liam, the 5 year-old transgender boy (previously Lila) who had been beaten up so many times by wasted teenagers on his block that he'd broken an arm, a leg, and had received a concussion, giving each of them their lollipops and handing out fudge squares to all of the nurses before finally arriving at her Gran's room at the end of the hall. Gran was the only adult on this floor, since the hospital had run out of space on the upper floors, and was in a very delicate condition. Fae entered quietly, hiding the bouquet of flowers behind her back. "Hi Gran!", she smiled warmly as she approached the bed, hugging and kissing her grandmother fondly. "Fae!", Gran smiled back, black circles under her eyes. "Your mum phoned to tell me about your job, how was it darling?" The two talked to eachother lovingly for a while, and Fae pulled the flowers and the vase from her bag. "Happy Easter!", she said, placing them both on the little table. At the same time, Gran tugged a gorgeous knitted scarf from under the covers. "Happy Birthday! Oh, such lovely flowers dear! Thank you for the vase!", she exclaimed, pulling Fae into a hug. "Thanks Gran! Oh, this is gorgeous! Did you make it?", she asked, admiring the soft infinity scarf woven out of beautiful turquoise and cream yarn while her insides clenched with worry. My birthday's not until Tuesday.., she thought to herself. Gran's condition must be getting worse.. Fae's Gran had been diagnosed with schizophrenia half a year ago, after voices in her head had told her to brake a window and climb through it, walking all the way to the Canada/U.S. border on arthritic feet and being hit by a car, which hit something in her head that had caused memory loss at completely random times. She had survived, but each time she was about to be released from the hospital, she'd had another episode, and the schizophrenia had gotten temporarily worse.

(I'm gonna do this in stages, k?)

Sabine gave a sigh of relieve when the bomb exploded in the water. She jumped back into the truck and drove back to her house. As she was going home, she saw the hospital. She decided to go visit. She stopped the truck in front of the hospital and jumped out. She walked up to the front desk and asked to volunteer.

Cruz began towards home, keeping an unsaid vow of silence while his thoughts spoke inside his head. He kept his clay-stained hands buried im his pockets against the cold, nose downturned away from the wind.

He knew he'd always had a history of falling fast and hard for girls at the faintest opportunity; and every time it happened, he could always predict how it would end. One of them loses interest, the other agrees, and they'll go separate ways. He was fine with this, until now. Fae was managing to pull out s gentler side of him that he wanted, more than all the time, to hide from the public face. The chance of vulnerability often exposed him to the fires. And someone always gets burned.

Tomorrow, he decided, he'd try her kindness. It was time to see if whatever he thought they had was going to withstand, at least, himself. And he hoped it would.

He pulled down his sleeves.

(ooooooooooooooooooooooohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! >:D<)
(one of Fae's traits before this is that she falls for boys way too easily lol)
(she's straight, by the way)

Fae finished the long conversation with her Gran about an hour later, her grandmother's Fae-made dragon, Pellinara, snoozing contentedly on her lap, smooth, white, scale-less skin gleaming in the light from the setting sun like porcelain, intricate cornflower and dark blue flowery designs on her back and tail accentuating her gorgeous, thoughtful indigo eyes. They ended the visitation together with Fae reading her Gran poems from a thick, beautifully bound volume, head against her shoulder. When she was finished, she kissed the top of her grandmother's head tenderly, tucking her in for a (very early) night and leaving quietly, footsteps soft against the floor. She bade the rest of the children farewell, giving Valentina her yellow flowers and slipping out with her dragons. The setting sun glowed warmly, it's gorgeous rays glimmering on the surface of the water as Fae strolled by the falls, stopping to watch the little miracle, the wind not so cold anymore. Her thoughts drifted to Cruz, and she could feel her cheeks coloring at the mere image of him. He's pretty cute…, she admitted to herself, chewing absentmindedly on her bottom lip. The recent memory of him, grinning rakishly with his arm looped around hers made Fae's heart flutter. You're pathetic., she teased herself. You only met him yesterday! Plus he's three years older than you, and way out of your league.
Still, she couldn't help but smile.

(did you guys like the hospital scene?)
