She smiled a little. "You think so? I thought for sure that I was alone in my thoughts." She hugged him tighter like if she didn't hold him tight enough that he'd slip away.
She smiled a little. "You think so? I thought for sure that I was alone in my thoughts." She hugged him tighter like if she didn't hold him tight enough that he'd slip away.
He smiled as she held tighter. "No, you won't be alone in them this time, my darling." He kissed the top of her head gently.
She blushed lightly as a faint smile tugged at her lips. "Maybe 'always' can be our 'I love you'. What do you think?"
"I like that." Her smile somehow managed to change the room. "Always."
(this reminds me of the fault in our Stars so much rn)
(Right?? That's actually my summer reading and I finished it the first day I got it so I might be slightly obsessed)
"Always." She relaxed into his arms. She had him and that was all she really needed.
(xD yeah, I finished it in eight hours. read it fourteen times. love itttt)
He smiled at the word. It was so simple, and yet it meant everything at the moment. Somehow, it managed to put more feeling on his tongue than love ever did.
(Finished it in 5 hours and have already read it like 3 times)
"Promise it'll only be ours though." He mumbled. "That even if we break up, always will be ours and ours alone." She didn't want to share it with anyone else, she wanted it to belong to them.
(xD yeppers it's great)
"Of course, of course. I wouldn't, couldn't actually." He shared the same sentiments. Even when miles away in distance and minds, he wanted it to be something he tied to his heart with a zip tie.
She smiled. "Good, good." Not like she planned on letting him leave her any time soon but it was always nice to clarify.
Jackson adjusted his hold on her a little. "Well, whaddya say we go out and do something? Can't stay in here the whole day."
"I mean, technically we could but that's be rather boring." She giggled softly. "Yeah, let's get out of here."
He laughed a little before standing up with her in his arms, still holding her up. *Hmm. What shall we do now?"
"Well, I have to head to work in like an hour so you can help me get ready. A girl has to pay for her Netflix somehow." She giggled. She worked as a librarians assistant which wasn't the most entertaining job in the world but she loved it and it paid surprisingly well.
"Alright, yeah. I didn't know you worked." He opened the door smiled. "After you, miss."
"Why thank you, good sir." She headed back upstairs to her room and pulled out her work shirt. It was a deep forest green polo with the library's name on it that was more form fitting than she would've liked but hey, there wasn't much she could do about it. Her bosses didn't really care what pants she wore, just that she wore the shirt.
Jackson just lingered around downstairs waiting for her to come back. He sat down on the couch and sat back with a sigh. How does she manage to give me the worst stutter in some moments but it's completely forgotten in the next?
She changed into her uniform shirt, switching her jeans for a pair of khaki shorts and slipping on her Converse before heading downstairs. "Transformation complete!"
"Awesome." He walked a little closer. "You need a ride?"
She thought about it for a minute. "Uhh, sure! Why not? But…" She chewed on her lip for a second, wondering how she should put this. "Honestly, it's better if you just stay if you do because even though it's a library, I deal with…well, I deal with a lot and it's nice to have someone to help out."
"I'm totally cool with that." He took his keys out of his pocket and walked towards the door.
She smiled a little and headed out the door, combing out her hair with her fingers.
(Sure!)
Ivy walked into the library and smiled. The smell of books and paper comforted her. This was her safe space. This was her home away from home. She went behind the main desk and signed in, plopping into the chair at the check out end, motioning for him to come behind the desk with her.
Jackson had spent years at the library, not this one in particular- just in general. There is where he found his love for star facts, everything beyond the eleven year old wishing he used to do. Now, he could tell you all the major stars in the sky and most of the minors. "This is like heaven." Every library seemed to smell the same. It had the scent of old, folded over, torn paper, brown around the edges. It mixed with the perfumes of old ladies, a certain flower- probably gardenia. And he loved it.
The place was mostly empty, as usual. Just students at the tables working or reading, children laughing and playing around at the children's section, and the constant clack of the old library keyboards was the scene she'd come to love. However, she knew what was coming. She just had to wait for it.
