She bit her lip softly, looking up at him through her lashes. She was a bit surprised but also relieved that he didn't want to just abandon her.
She bit her lip softly, looking up at him through her lashes. She was a bit surprised but also relieved that he didn't want to just abandon her.
Gosh goodness gracious. She was so adorable. "You're so amazing. And I ove you." That look made the stars disappear. Brighter and closer than the sun was the brightest star in the Galaxy. The only one he would ever need.
She smiled a tiny bit. "I love you too." He was her masterpiece that she got to have and admire but she was so scared of dropping him and having the heart wrenching feeling of watching him shatter across the floor.
That smile… He took her by the hand and brought her closer so that he could place his forehead on hers. "I love you more."
Her smile only grew, just the smallest bit. She knew she really didn't deserve him, he deserved so much more than what she could provide, but here they were. "Prove it."
He smiled back. "How? There's no real way to prove that an infinity exists."
"Well nothing's impossible, I'm sure there's a way…" And just like that, she was gone. Lost in thought as she tried to go through her thought experiment.
He watched as she thought, not wanting to stop She looked so beautiful when she thought like that. He could almost hear her train of thought as it travelled from station to station as fast as it could. He chuckled a little. "Ivy. I love you too much, and you'll just have to believe me when I say I'll love you forever by being with me as I love you in the now."
She snapped out of her thoughts, her eyes flicking up to meet his and she couldn't help but smile. She really didn't deserve him. "Sorry, I live in a fantasy world. It's called my head."
His smile widened. "Oh, what I would give to spend a day in siad fantasy world. It must be magical."
"It's like Disney World but a lot less fun because it's always hectic. Trust me, it's better you're out here than inside there." She chuckled.
He laughed with her. "Seems perfect to me." Honestly, he'd taken a trip to Disney World when he was really young, and it had been so hectic. Yet, he still loved it. So, there wasn't any way he wouldn't love it. Especially if it was Ivy Land.
"I'm sure you could go, seeing as you love to listen to my thoughts. But don't say I didn't warn you." If he wanted to find out, she wouldn't stop him but she didn't recommend it.
He smiled a little, closing his eyes. "If you say so." He waited for a few moments. All she had to do was project her thoughts a little and he'd be able to hear them.
She let her iron grip on her thoughts loosen just a little and she nearly stumbled back from the force of them breaking through. Within seconds her entire brain was enveloped in a buzzing world of thoughts, all clamoring for attention like young children. "I forgot how startling this was at first." She mumbled to herself.
He chuckled. She wasn't wrong: it was hectic. Then again, neither was he. There was something about wild minds he loved. The ones that never slow down or anything. It was amazing how everything seemed to be independent in her mind. She could handle so much. And he loved her for it.
And unsurprisingly, a lot of the thoughts were about art. It was her pride and joy so it was always on her mind. However, rather embarrassingly to her, a good amount of her thoughts were also about him.
Jackson watched as each thought took shape. Each was so individual yet so intertwined with the next. One moment she thought of art. He could feel her love- her passion- for it. Sheets of paper with her old sketches drifted through the air like feathers, lost to plain eyes, but forever in her memory. Everything was a beautiful mess. Then, a specific thought formed, as it took shape, he wasn't too sure what it was, but as it finished, he could tell it was him. And then he felt it: a flame. The flame in her heart. The love. The passion. Everything. And he could only stare in awe as a memories passed through her brain like videos. Old and new. Whoa.
However, there was a reason why she never let her thoughts stay like this and it was starting to appear. The familiar slight pulsing feeling of an incoming migraine and it wasn't pleasant.
His head began to ache a litte, but he wasn't entirely sure. The weather outside didn't seem to be changing, and a headache was not a side effect. He ignored the small pressure and continued through her Disney Land of a mind.
And then, with no warning whatsoever, it hit like a truck. She winced slightly as the exploding pain enveloped her. She expected this, really. It was the main she kept her thoughts under such a tight grip. But now she dealt with the burning migraine that made her want to slam her head into a wall to make it stop.
He felt like screaming. A sudden pain hit him like a sharp edged wave. Everything seemed to blur as he went under the waves. He didn't back away though. Not now. He wouldn't leave her, even if it felt like drowning.
She regained the grip on her thoughts, everything going quiet and the pain fading slightly. "See, I told you my thoughts were hectic. It's better I just leave them alone and keep other people out of them. Saves them from dealing with the migraine."
He leaned back, amazed. "You have to deal with that all day?" How? He thought for a moment. "Did I help at all? Like, did I take some of the pain away while I was there?"
"It's not as bad as it seems, really." She shrugged. "I try to keep all of my pain in my head so that no one else has to deal with it."
