"Sure," He grabbed his glass, following her to the bar.
"Sure," He grabbed his glass, following her to the bar.
She approached the bar, and spoke to the bartender. "Hey there – you Ringo?"
The bartender turned around, looking them both up and down before nodding slightly, "What's it to ya?"
She glanced left and right before leaning in and whispering, "We were told that you can test us for a – special organization."
Drew looked at her, realising how much more discreet she is being about it.
"Special organization, eh? I think I can help you out there," Ringo said, "Follow me." He lead them through to the back room.
Juliette winked at Drew, then followed Ringo.
Drew screwed his face up in confusion, following after the other two.
They were lead to a dark room. Well, dark until Ringo flicked on the light to reveal two chairs around a blood-stained table in the middle. Around the sides were more chairs, chains, tools stained rusty brown, and other such items.
She tensed, not sure what to expect, but sensing trouble in some form.
"Take a seat," Ringo said, sitting one side of the table.
Drew got another chair for himself, offering Juliette the one that was already there.
"So, what's the test?" she asked cautiously, taking a seat.
"Gotta prove yourself, ya know," Ringo said, he looked at Drew, "Could you go over to that file cabinet," He pointed to a metal file cabinet in the corner, "and get a file for me?"
Drew nodded, meeting Juliette's eyes before getting up and turning away. He walked over to the cabinet, "Uh, which draw?"
"The second, a file labelled 'Susan Underdown'," Ringo said, his eyes not leaving Juliette.
Drew got that file and placed it on the table, taking his seat again.
"What's that for?"
"It's your mission," He slid the file over to Juliette, "little Ms Underdown ratted us out, she needs to be taught a lesson and made an example of. That's your job. When you finished give me her index finger and a picture of her after."
Juliette opened the file, and stared at it blankly. "What do we have to do?"
"Ya gotta take care of her," Ringo said but upon seeing Drew's confused face he elaborated, "Ya gotta bloody kill her," He sighed.
Juliette smiled at Ringo. "Understood. C'mon," she said to Drew, and stood up.
"Right then," He said, following Juliette.
They headed back to the apartment, all the while Juliette did not say a word.
When they got inside Drew went into the kitchen, making himself a bowl of Frosties. "So, we need to kill someone."
"I can't. I can't," she cried, tugging on her hair and pacing in frustration. "I don't care if she 'ratted them out', I'm not going to kill her –" There was a pause, then Juliette came into the kitchen and pointed at Drew. "And neither are you, mister."
"Well, one of us needs to," He said, digging into his cereal.
"NO," she protested. "There has to be a way to fake it."
"We have to give him her finger, plus photos" He pointed out, "How are we going to fake that?"
"Well – I-I–" she stammered, fear darkening her gaze.
"Chill, I'll just kill her, you can stand watch. okay?" He said, shoving a mouthful of cereal into his mouth.
